I bought her album. A physical copy and digitally. I don’t care about numbers though. I love several artist, but she is my fave. Numbers aren’t gonna change the fact that she’s still one of the best at what she does and that people love her. Her single isn’t high on the HOT 100 or R&B Chart and she has barely did any MAJOR promo, so those sales are to be expected. I BET ???? her label and team are looking at the long term outlook of this project once they start to push DLWML & THIF. If they were worried about sales Im sure they wouldn’t have the released the album. Her sales will definitely increase to about 200k, once they start to push these crossover records. Which is the norm nowadays for most “popular” artist. I’m more so worried about the singles and what they will sell. She always has a major hit each era so she’ll be fine. If record companies were basing contracts off of album sales a lot the artist on the radio would be unsigned.
Sidenote: People have her album, they just downloaded it when it leaked for those couple days, as everyone’s album and/or single is posted on RnBxclusive or Viperial a few days ahead of release or as soon as it drops.
I seen her album had been downloaded over 11,000 times during the leak and around 6,000 times on Viperial. Not to mention all the other sites and Torrents.

These numbers only speak to the current music buying climate, where basically nobody does big first week numbers except only a select few, only to see their albums plummet down the charts in the following week. Ciara’s team is clearly going for longevity as opposed to instant numbers with this project, so she’ll be just fine.

How long is she going to be on tour? As people see her perform songs from the album, they may become interested in actually buying it. I don’t have the album but from the snippets I heard, it seems like it’s mostly pop instead of R&B. She should’ve released two singles at the same time, one for the Urban market and another for Top 40 since she’s moving away from R&B again. The Urban market who were interested in her breakup with Future would’ve had something for them and the new crowd that she is trying to pull in would’ve known that this was a POP album.

I don’t think this album has a hit on the level of Body Party because if it did they would have used it for the lead single. I think she wanted to concentrate on making a solid album this time in hopes that people would buy the whole album instead of just one single. Decent plan but it just didn’t work. People want to be entertained by Ciara but they don’t value her music enough to buy it outside of purchasing a huge hit single. She’s just not a strong enough vocalist to garner much support for a whole album. I think Ciara just needs to focus on releasing undeniable hits and live performances. She’s never going to be much of an album seller. Being a singles artist is pretty common these days anyway. Next time she needs to come harder single wise.

single choices aren’t my favorite, and interview topics could be less about who she’s dating but overall I’m somewhat satisfied with how she handled the beginning of this era, I’ll take it for what it is and face the facts that this is just the current age for music. It’s an album that needs to be milked for everything that it is, I can definitely see another 4-5 more singles from this era. If they handle this well it can be a long term grower.

That’s really too bad, because the singles sounded better this time. I knew something was wrong when a very small audience showed up for her Today performance. That space is normally packed when popular artists come out.
As a member of the Navy, I’ve always hoped the best for Ciara. She never had the potential, because she was stuck in a raggedy record deal with her last label. Although the album sounds like Talk That Talk to me, it’s better than most of the Top 40 albums released recently. Where she went wrong was with “I Bet” being her lead single, and yes, it was a rip off of Usher’s song. Also, why are there so many remixes of the song? It’s nowhere close to a “Diamonds” to be on the album that many times. “That’s How I’m Feeling” should’ve been her lead single where she could’ve used the steam from Missy’s Super Bowl performance to aid. To be honest, I don’t care about her numbers; I just don’t want her to get dropped from her label again. I really enjoy watching her perform, and her athleticism is killer! Good luck Cici and keep moving.

I thought I was the only one that doesn’t like the album I really think everybody up here ass cuz it didn’t work out with future and now everybody throwing a pitty party and cuz y’all think she pretty …well pretty don’t make her music good I’m not feeling the album and sure as hell Don’t plan on riding down the street playing it in my car
