The Pop queen has made no secret of the fact she’s cooking up a fresh album – her first in seven years. However, it appears the masses may be on the cusp of tasting the project’s lead single in a mere matter of days.

A few moments ago, a countdown sprung up on Jackson’s official website…with the end time definitively set for this coming Monday (June 23rd).
It’s unlikely anything tour related, as the on sale dates for tickets (pre-sale and general) have already been widely publisized. What’s more, the arrival of Janet’s new single (believed to be titled ‘No Sleep’) next Monday would validate reports last month that the premiere effort from the LP would debut “within 30 days.”

I’m ready Janet! This countdown seems to be for her ‘No Sleep’ single. I’m here for that! It’s not one of those in-your-face, uptempo tracks that scream for attention. Tbh, I thought I was underwhelmed with my first listen and with each play of the snippet afterwards I found it very stimulating and sensual. It’s understated and has a nice feel to it so far. I know Janet’s going to pull out a dance track right behind it, so I’m enjoying her easy, breezy music right now. She’s been doing this for some time with first singles. Janet has been doing a laid first single and hard hitting follow up for several eras (since the ‘Janet.’ era).
‘That’s The Way Love Goes’/If (Janet.), ‘Got Til It’s Gone’/’Together Again’ (TVR), ‘Call On Me’/’So Excited’ (20Y.O.)… Only Discipline had a real uptempo track (‘Feedback’). ‘No Sleep’ is a great mood song and I’m going to let Jan quietly slip in with this era, so she can do what she do!
The Queen’s tour is selling like hot cakes…She sold out Hawaii (twice), Atlanta, Las Vegas (twice), Toronto (nearly sold out), San Diego (nearly sold out), and the largest arena she is doing which is the Forum in LA, is virtually sold out…Only a Queen can do this when she hasn’t done a full arena tour in 14 yearsand this was before real sale began…All hail the Queen…With that said, I hope she releases a fire first single.
