Lady Gaga has shared fresh thoughts on sales of her latest solo album ‘ARTPOP‘, admitting that she is aware that it didn’t perform as well as her second studio effort ‘The Fame Monster.’
Her thoughts and feelings below…

On ‘ARTPOP’:
You know, people wrote a lot of things about my last album, ARTPOP, which was very controversial. If it didn’t grab the whole world the way The Fame Monster did, that’s OK, because I know it’s good. That’s what Tony has taught me, that my intuition is right. When he talks about the 66 albums he’s put out, the peaks and valleys, and how it’s not about having a hit record – it’s the most inspiring thing.

Regardless of the actually sale amount, the album sold, and each album has a certification. Tbh, I never understood why fans are obsessed with album sales, it’s not like they’re being cut a check. But oh well. More power to Gaga!

The songs were all written messily, the production was over the top and pompous, and her ideas just went a little too over the edge, it was definitley her worst album yet
FartPop was better than Bukaki This Way. Both sh1te albums though.

I’m not a huge Lady Gaga fan or hater so I’ve only heard like 2 songs from Artpop. I think more so than the album being a mess, people were tired of her over the top antics. After the album with Tony Bennett and her performance at the Oscars, all people were saying was “wow, I didn’t know she could actually sing”. Her next album will do well if she continues with this more stripped down approach because she really is super talented. She doesn’t need anymore gimmicks.

Just like the 80’s she brought back the importance of Fashion in her music videos. Every artist was wearing basic clothing on their album covers until Lady Gaga changed that and brought some crazy ideas into her work (videos, clothing, and etc).

I thought Applause was a solid first single! I admit it had to grow on me though … ‘Applause’, ‘Sexx Dreams’ & ‘Gypsy’ were obvious singles too! ‘Jewels and Drugs’ would have been hit or miss.
I agree with the order of your favorite albums by her too: The Fame Monster> ArtPop> The Fame> BTW (this comes last for me).
