The singer Ashanti is said to have angered fans in Australia after she was an hour late to her own concert…and only performed for half an hour.

The ‘Rain On Me’ entertainer joined her Murder Inc. pal Ja Rule to deliver a live show for fans in the market as they continue to promote the material they recorded during their time in the aforementioned Hip-Hop crew.
Alas, fans were unhappy with the service they received from the ‘Always On Time’ performers. For, they weren’t on time.
Concert-goers have targeted Ja Rule and Ashanti who were scheduled to hit the stage at 11:30pm, three hours after doors opened, did not come on until 12:30am and only performed for half an hour.
Those in attendance also claim that a fan threw a water bottle in anger as Ashanti left the stage.
One fan wrote on the event Facebook page: “waited an hour for them to come on stage and then get a 20min show when they were suppose to be on for an hour and a half!!” while another said, “I give ten points to the person who threw the bottle at Ashanti as she walked off stage talking some bulls**t about how much she loved her fans.”
“Doors Open 830pm, Headline artist scheduled 1130-1245am, Didn’t come on till 12:30am, Performed for 30mins only, RIP OFF! WORST CONCERT EVER! PEOPLE WANT REFUNDS!” she continued.
Rule took to Twitter to apologise.
If this is true, then she deserved it. It’s the height of arrogance for performers to show up hours late. That’s like saying F*** You to the same people who paid to see you play.
And real talk: who would have even guessed that Ashanti had fans in Australia? She should humbled enough by that to make sure she started the show on time.
So it’s okay to potentially injure someone out of frustration? This is tacky, just like that time the Slavi pelted Sockhanna’s forehead with junk food.

I agree but in defence of the artists,sometimes (most times) the fault is always with the promoters.When you see artists abruptly cancelling shows,it’s not that they don’t respect their fans,but many of their promoters are greedy motherf*ckers just out to swindle them.They lie about the size of venue,they lie about number of tickets sold,they lie about ticket prices only for the artist to discover this minutes before taking the stage.Or sometimes the promoter just goes MIA and the artist is left to foot his own hotel bills and transportation only for the a**hole to show up minutes to concert.There is so much politics that goes on backstage and sometimes fans should be a little more understanding before throwing tantrums and objects
We don’t know the terms of what caused her to be late or what may have caused them to not be able to perform longer than the time that was left when they finally hit the stage. To throw a water bottle is uncalled for and if I was there I’d drag the b**** that did it.
i was there, 2 nites in a row they were late. i waited 5 hours to c them…im a huge fan but this isnt a good look

Not condoning this at all! But “Pelted with Bottle”, and having a “Bottle of water” thrown at you, is very different, and a bottle made of plastic mind you..
I don’t blame the fans for getting mad at her for being an hour late whatever that made Ashanti late that is her fault
