The U.K. music industry has seen its streaming figure cross the 500 million mark this year.

Why it has Rihanna to thank for a portion of its success?

Good news for the ‘Te Amo‘ performer below.

Streaming figures in the market as twice as high as they were last year thanks to releases launched by Bruno Mars (‘Uptown Funk‘) Nicki Minaj (‘Anaconda‘) and Rihanna who continues to fly high in the streaming scene with help from each and every one of her music videos.

Billboard reports:

The landmark figure was reached on the chart week ending Thursday 16 July, when U.K. consumers registered 505 million audio streams — almost double the 275 million average weekly figure of July 2014. In the first six months of 2015, British music fans clocked up 11.5 billion streams, an 80 percent increase on the same period in 2014, with 59 tracks streamed more than 10 million times.

If streaming continues on its current path industry experts predict it will surpass the 25 million mark by the year’s end as Rihanna continues to rock the U.K.’s scene with groundbreaking figures.

For, the first buzz single to be pulled from her new album (‘FourFiveSeconds’) has been spun 254,383,114 times in five months as her ‘A Girl Like Me‘-pulled single ‘Unfaithful’ sits at 224 million mark.

where is Rl8? didnt the submaries say FFS was gonna be her 14th #1? why is it that FFS, American Sulphure Oxide, Towards Flopping and B**** Im Broke are all flopping?

    • Everyone’s A Critic July 27, 2015

FOURFIVE Seconds did not flop. It hit number 3 if I’m correct and stayed in the top 10 for weeks here in the UK. BBHMM does well in the club scene. Not every song is made for chart purposes. She’s still relevant

You can try an drag Rih all you want but she’s the only artist who is successful in multiple genres and platforms. Most likely no other song in the urban category from a female, other than a Beyoncé record MAYBE, will go platinum but a rihanna record. No one has consistently had cross over records like rih has, and not many are as successful in both single and album sales like rih. She’s even above most in touring! Give it to her and stop hating.

HMMM I though streaming over purchasing music was always used as a ”drag” by the naïvy???? The Slavi were the same ones insulting Beyoncé for being the most streamed female on Spotify, and now they are celebrating Rihanna being streamed even more in the UK. These bum bîtches cannot even be consistent????????????
