The impressive feat earns ‘Dance’ the honor of becoming the fastest watched CiCi video in the VEVO era. Additionally, it positions the Dr. Luke cut in a solid position to premiere on the Billboard Hot 100 on next week’s count.

Context is everything. Let’s be frank; Ciara – from a charts perspective – plays in the R&B lane. As such, when viewing the numbers with this lens, it (should) quickly become apparent that most of her peers aren’t commanding attention at this rate nor are they being showered with the same flavor of praise heaped on Ms. Harris following the video’s debut.
We’re hopeful that an infallible strategy has been put in place to ensure the song at least facet of success – whether that be “winning” virally, on the Billboard R&B charts, the Hot 100. Or better yet all!

The Evolution was everything she was going into the right path until Basic Instinct. I think her 2 last albums captured that R&B & Pop appeal but I think she needs to understand her core audience which is urban & make Urban music that will appeal to pop radio. Ciara mistake was Basic Instinct it had bad management & it was not a solid body of art to capture more fans.
