Earlier this year Minaj took to social media to reveal that she was horrified to learn that her visual for the single ‘Anaconda’ hadn’t received a Video of the Year nomination despite the fact that it outperformed a number of the clips that were nominated.

Her theory? The media’s  habit of shunning sexuality when delivered by women of colour.

Now Miley Cyrus has stepped out to scold her for daring to make the observation.
