R&B vixen Ciara is heading to The View this week.

ABC have announced that the 29-year-old singer will take to the stage of the returning show on Friday to perform a rendition of Michael Jackson‘s 1993 classic ‘Heal The World.’
The significance of the date is that it falls on September 11th; as such Ci’s performance will be in remembrance of those who lost their lives in the 2001 tragedy.
As some will recall, the singer first tackled the track at the 2009 BET Awards – which was hastily re-organised to be a tribute show – airing just days after the King of Pop’s passing.

Here at TGJ, we’ll always support true talent – a phrase which defines Ciara in earnest.
However, it’s also imperative to keep it 100…something is off.
As commendable as it is for Ms. Harris to be honoring the lives of the fallen, she also has an album called ‘Jackie’ that could do with a jolt on the charts. Surely ‘Dance Like We’re Making Love’ – her current single – should be the song of choice to be performing any and everywhere at this point?
Again, something is way off – and we can only hope it’s remedied sooner rather than later.

I love Jackie its a really good album. But Ciara is LITERALLY turning into a tribute act which is sad. She’s never been the strongest vocalist but neither has Janet or J. Lo, however they stay in their lane and SLAY the stage. She needs to take some pointers from her idol and stick to her strengths. This is not a good look.
Exactly! I applaud her for showing growth as a singer since her debut but she needs to understand that her lane is not sitting on a stool/standing to deliver vocals. Girl, we wanna see dance your a** off! Now, Janet will give you a cute medley of her ballads on tour but after that, she’s right back on her feet slaying choreography. I’ve not been impressed with any of Ciara’s televised performances this era but I’ve seen clips of her Jackie tour on YouTube and she’s still clearly a force on stage.
