It’s nearly been 11 years since Grammy winning divas Destiny’s Child graced record shelves with a studio LP, but if manager Matthew Knowles has his way, fans won’t have to wait 11 more before they can get their hands on some new-new from the trio.
Indeed, recently revealing he has “a few” projects in the works including a biography, television show, and more, Matthew – who still contractually manages the group – says he is “extremely hopeful” they will reunite for a new album and tour.
This, of course, after plans surfaced last year the music mogul was readying a tell-all movie based on them. Read his words below:
“I am extremely hopeful that the ladies will come back with an album and a tour. I’m working on a few Destiny’s Child projects right now,” he said. “My second book will be the autobiography of Destiny’s Child. I’m talking to the film and TV community right now, regarding a Destiny’s Child movie or TV series of some sort. But I still manage the ladies — Destiny’s Child — and I’m hopeful that within the next two to three years we’ll see something major come from it.”As Knowles continues to shop his Destiny’s Child project to studios, he went on to tell HuffPost that he has some potential names in mind for the film’s cast — but kept his choices under wraps.

Everytime i think of DC3 i think of how HELTHY beys career is and how she out lived ( out living) her peers past and present with no signs of slowing down. Jokes aside, this movie is only going to be worth watching if Matthew pumps the real tea about all the shady stuff that they both did and I can bet all my wigs HE WONT. Save the movie until someone passes away, this could tarnish their legacy.

Yes! If he can somehow successfully pull this off, then I swear I won’t mention his cheating. Oh my goodness! Another DC album…and TOUR would be so exciting! If this happens, I will purchase multiple physical copies and tickets. I NEED Michelle to deliver those extraordinary vocals she blessed me with in “Through With Love” and “Do You Know” from their reunion tour DVD in Atlanta. I’ll need her to have her very own act of the tour in which she performs ALL of the released singles from her new album because for me to support this reunion on such an extreme level, I need Michelle to have much more shine and showcase her gift and incredible songwriting skills some more. Without Michelle, DC is literally nothing special and boring.

I don’t think there will ever be a destiny’s child album or tour.
The girls are big names right now in the music industry, they are not struggling and they are super independent.
They will keep doing collaborations but under their own name.
Plus, we know beyonce loves her daddy, but being under the management of her daddy who she said could not dissociate business from everyday life will be tough.
All I see is a desperate daddy trying to get back to the old days of millions of dollars flowing . The problem is that he can do whatever he wants but without Beyonce, Kelly and Michelle’s support, he has no power.
I would love to do another album, but we’re all too busy to commit to that right now

True fans of Destiny’s Child do not want this to happen, as we already know this will be an inaccurate portrayal that will swing in Matthews favour (plus he will be the person that is making the most money out of all the related parties). I’m sure he will try to portray himself as a modern day Joe Jackson that worked the girls to the bone because he believed in them, but we all know that he was power-hungry and destroyed the girls friendships all for his own agenda.
I always thought Tina held some sort of power with the name, as we are always told that she found the name in the bible, no? I think the girls should do what TLC did and pay whatever they have to, in order to fully own the rights to their name. Even if they never make another record again (which hopefully they will), they can sleep peacefully knowing that bàstard is not profiting from their hard work.
