I love janet… if there is any icon that I stan for, it’d be her (and maybe prince) but, I don’t know about these releases. I think they are quality songs. I’m just not convinced that they are the right songs for right now. I just pray that they no what they’re doing behind the scenes bc, as a janet fan, I really want her to win. Ugh! Honestly, I think it’s refreshing that’s she’s making grown music and making it for herself. You can tell she’s in a higher place. Above radio, above critics. Just wanting to connect with fans and share her journey and her appreciation.

You know, that’s the other side of the coin. I really love that point as well but, I also know that there’s a bottom line and that this is a business so… I just want her to succeed in that way. Hopefully she’ll have critical and commercial success. Likewise, I hope that she finds fulfillment in this stage of her career. Really for my own selfish reasons. Janet is always amazingly inspired (in regards to her aesthetics, especially) and I want to see what’s happening in her head nowadays.
Such a lovely song! Queen Janet has come back to slay both quietly and unexpectedly! Plus, that audience at the Calgary show proves that she is still on top. Kii at various articles lying saying that only 8,500 people were there when anyone who watched a video can tell it was a packed house. They not happy with the queen’s return, but guess what? She’s unbothered and unmoved!

For real though! When I saw it on iTunes, I was smiling from ear to ear. Just imagine those first week sales! The song is slowly growing on me but it’s definitely giving me a gospel vibe. The song is very similar to God’s Stepchild if you listen to the lyrics closely she’s talking about her love for the lord Jesus christ (without saying it.) Her love for her family, and friends people definitely have to listen to the lyrics closely but it’s definitely given me a God’s Step child feel I think this Album is gonna have mixtured elements of Control, Rhythmn Nation 1814, Janet, and The Velvet Rope combined into it can’t wait to hear the rest of what this album has to bring when she says don’t believe what you hear (Rumors about her) unless you hear it from my lips she really ment it.

Finished building my Kitchen Cabinet, and I’ve been on the Janet post just didn’t feel the need to respond but I definitely wanted to give my god honest opinion on that white outfit on that Vancouver Canada performance of her tour her dancing was on point as always but those pants she wore that was apart of her outfit look like they were waging a war with those shoes and losing I have to admit she had better costume outfits from the tours of Rhythmn Nation down to the Velvet Rope tour and certain outfits from the All for you tour even her award and television special performance outfits were better then her costumes from the Discipline and this first set or shall I say that days tour performance and I heard she didn’t change outfits that’s unlike Janet unless her luggage got lost or it came late but I was going to drag that outfit for filth and you know I love me some Janet but she is not exempt from being dragged when it is necessary I swear on Tuesday I was gonna join the darkside but like my momma always said if you don’t have nothing nice to say then don’t say nothing at all. Im sure that will be another club hit, and might be a top 20 hit for her like feedback was in 2008. I love this song! I expected to be a little disappointed at first because I wanted ‘Burn It Up’ (and not ‘Unbreakable’ to come with the album pre-order). I didn’t think I’d totally get into this one because of the Jackson 5 feel it had. I was so wrong! My liking to it was instant! The beat dropping and the way it switched up really did it for me. The ending >>>> … If this isn’t a single (which I doubt it is), than all I can say is that Janet gave us a real treat! ‘Unbreakable’ slays!

I like it, but she needs a dance a la “All for You” or “If”. The fact that so many people were upset that Janet didn’t perform at the BET Awards should’ve been a strong enough indication that the fans want to see fire and fast-paced energy, not some slow groove or casual stroll. I miss the days of Janet when the dance choreography was as much a priority as the music. I’m a big fan, but I have to admit I’m disappointed.
