Puff Daddy has joined the likes of Beyonce, Justin Timberlake and Adele at Sony Music Entertainment.

Why?

His 90s inspired comeback of course!

Details below…

Puff has joined forces with L.A. Reid‘s Epic Records to pen the latest chapter in his career’s story by signing a deal which will see him release new Bad Boy Entertainment with help from the company.

Reid announced:

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs aka Puff Daddy and I have been musical collaborators since the 1990s, when we both ran independent record labels. … Over the years, we not only enjoyed incredible success together, but we also became lifelong friends. Today, of course, Puffy is truly in a league all his own, continuing to influence culture and ignite musical revolutions time and time again. He’s a true innovator and I could not be more excited to join forces once again.

The partnership makes Epic obliged to support the release of two new albums from the ‘Last Train to Paris’ provider with funds and expertise that will be allocated to their promotion, distribution and marketing.

He explains:

“I have known L.A. Reid since the very beginning and together we have enjoyed countless successes over our long friendship,” added Combs. “To now work with L.A. in this capacity feels more like a homecoming than a new beginning. Not only is he a fearless and smart businessman, he believes in artists and understands music better than anyone. He embodies hard work and true success, evident in all of his endeavors.  To collaborate with L.A. Reid is to collaborate with the very best.

He will flop. Like the rest of Epic’s roster. He should be revamping bad boy and release Cassie! We were rooting for her! And Day 26 & Danity Kane and the countless others you ruined! The only thing bad boy and epic have in common is poor management and wasted talent. #thatisall

Bad boy is no longer a functioning label. Still, I’m not sure why puff wouldn’t go the independent route. If anyone could seemingly make it work, it would be him . I’m sure the terms of his contract must be incredible.

I know. If an unknown white male can do it in hip hop (Macklemore and Ryan Lewis) I’m sure Diddy could do it indie too. Dumb.

Oh no! So, instead of Bringing Carl Thomas back or ENSURING Cassie has a reliable record deal, he wants to be an artist all over again? He never promoted his own artists and just when they finally started achieving some success, he dropped them at the sound of a dime. I don’t really care too much for him, although he has some iconic jams, but I’d rather him bring Lil’ Kim back than become an artist again. Cassie’s “King of Hearts” should’ve been a top 10 hit but because he doesn’t promote her, she’ll never be big and popular again.

And shame on Cassie for simply letting the cards fall where they may with her career. How do you literally lay with the man that can pull so many strings for you in the music industry, yet you don’t DEMAND him to take your career seriously and promote you to death? Honestly, because she’s so tied to him, she should be investigating the radio right now with her music just from how powerful and we’ll respected he is alone. I guess there’s a lot of unseen and unheard things happening in the background that’s preventing her from being a star.

This is going to be epic if he does it the right way. Bring back the Lox, Queen biiiiiiitch and a few of the other artists mixed with some new talent!!

What Cassie NEEDS to tell Daddy is, “I’m so stylish, so bossy. It would be a shame to say you lost me, but if you want that it’s a wrap and I won’t look back. And I’m tired, I’m tired, I’m tired of being your unofficial ARTIST.”

    Good for him.

Given his age, his fame and his money, that’s quite an achievement.

Diddy, Dre and Jay-Z are hustlers made from a different type of cloth.
