Adele is setting the record straight.
Earlier this month, erroneous rumors begun doing the rounds; rumors which suggested that the ‘Hello’ hitmaker had turned down a collaboration from her label-mate Beyonce.
During an interview with Beats 1 radio to promote new album ’25’ (due Nov. 20th) the British superstar shot down the claims and asserted her allegiance to Queen Bey – declaring that she’d never disrespect her.
Speaking to Zane Lowe, 27-year-old Adele said:
“There’s a rumour going round that I turned Beyonce down. Which I would never be so disrespectful as to do. I’d never disrespect her like that,” she explained. “Obviously, like, Queen B ’til the day I die.” {Source}
And that’s that.
To be frank, it seemed to be a rumor carried by the Anti-Beyonce brigade.
Beyond the fact both ladies have been exceptionally complimentary of each other over the years, people seem to forget the business element of such a collaboration.
Both Adele and Bey are signed to Columbia Records, hence trust and believe the powers that be would almost certainly help find the right song sooner than they’d “let” either “turn down.”

In any case, here’s hoping a collabo does happen. We always felt the ladies would sound super on an anthemic power ballad.

Nobody ever said Adele turned Bey down. The rumor was they recorded a song together and it just didn’t make it onto Adele’s album (Adele and Bey did in fact hit the studio together last winter.) no shade, no tea but they’re voices wouldn’t work well together.
