Joe has always resonated with us because he’s one of the few male vocalists who a) has a powerhouse voice and b) isn’t afraid to flaunt it.
Beyond power, he has a PHD in controlling his tool too, as evidenced by his ability here to juxtapose big belts with softer inflections. His runs are particularly rousing as well.

We really hope to see more of today and tomorrow’s male talent bring the “vocal” back to the forefront rather than veering (almost exclusively it seems these days) towards the “ratchet” turn-up side of the tracks.

But if you must know his name is Conor Maynard. I believe he’s an artist from the UK and was signed by Neyo or something along those lines. He also did a collab with Rita Ora and put out an album in 2012. I think his career just never picked up or fell off. But regardless I still love his voice and I think he’s very talented. Status isn’t everything at least not for me…

Yes to this! It can be quite easy to think its no big deal to cover Adele’s songs because she’s quite simple regarding her approach to singing. However, she has such a unique way of emoting that many fail to capture that very essence when paying homage to her. Joe is an incredible vocalist and did just that whole showing great skill too. He’s held up his voice really well in the more than two decades that he’s been at it. His sophomore effort, ‘All That I Am’ is one of my favourite R&B albums of the 90s. Shame he never won a Grammy.
This man just simply doesn’t get his due credit. It is not easy to maintain the pitch, the tone and control that Joe displays in this video. I would love to see Adele and him pair up for a duet version. I really liked this.
Damn, he sang the hell out of that song. A cover should always be equivalent or better than the original and he did that on this. I am not surprised tho, he sang the hell out of Mariah’s “we belong together” and that’s not an easy song to sing. But he did it flawlessly. Good Sh!t Joe.
