In recent months, it’s seemed as though the model has been running at festivals, endorsements and TV spots to off-set the mounting mayhem surrounding the project (the first single for which arrived 11 months ago).
One of her most recent bookings was the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
However, PEOPLE reports that the 27-year old has dramatically pulled out of the event (which airs December 8th). The reason cited? To finish recording her album.
Singer Ellie Goulding has been drafted in to replace her.

At this point, we’re beyond punchlines and puns. It’s more a case of chaos and catastrophe.
There really is no way of spinning the utter nonsense that has been this roll-out. Even if she’s to surprise release, cook up an app with Samsung, or whatever trick she has up her sleeve, the damage – from where we’re standing – really appears to be irreparable.
As if the stream of DOA singles didn’t drive that narrative home, the fact there was an actual album cover reveal…when there’s no completed album is just sloppy. So much so that there’s no “perfectionist” explanation that could ever suffice.

How do you name an unfinished album. This era is really exposing how manufactured she is and it’s crazy. Albums are supposed to be an honest reflection of where an artist is in their life so why did she pick an album cover and name when the songs aren’t even done.

Real artists don’t go through this trouble because real artists have themes they follow and know when they’ve expressed themselves completely. David made a comment once thats always stuck with me and that is that a classic album doesn’t have to be adult contemporary and its so true. Rihanna has no direction and it’s because she doesn’t take the time to reflect on Her life as it is and use it as a real basis for her work.
