As earlier reported, Rihanna is set to hit the road.
The 27-year-old model is looking to put the past year of poorly received music behind her and finally accelerate with new album ‘ANTI’ – the world tour for which was announced today.
Sponsored by technology giant Samsung, the trek will play to audiences across the globe and clocks in at over 70 shows.
Tickets go on sale December 3rd at LiveNation.com and fresh reports suggest an album tie-in is likely to be explored so as to buffer sales.
Whatever the case, we just hope she’s leaving the stiff whines, pom pom pats, and gargling goat vocals in times of past. The tour kicks off in February, so she has ample time to right the many wrongs from past jaunts.

My precious, fragile, little heart DROPPED when I saw that she’ll be playing Wembley Stadium. I bet she’ll fill all 90,000 people too. To be honest, she should’ve did Wembley on the last tour and Twickenham on the Loud Tour. If Ed Sheeran’s newbie basic ads can do THREE consecutive shows at Wembley Stadium with 85,000 people per show, then I’m certain as hell Iconanna can do about 10 and literally have that as her European leg if she wanted to. I’m so proud of her and all these stadium shows! That African, South/Latin American, and Australian leg will be full of stadiums too. And if she surprises the hell out of me with a stadium in Tokyo, I’ll lose my s***! I’m so glad she’s getting this era on a roll now.
1. Ed Sheeran actually released his album on schedule and it was a worldwide success. He sold out Wembley Stadium 3 times without help from The Weekend and also did stadiums in North America (which Rihanna still can’t do 10 years and many hits later).
2. Check the numbers and reviews from the LAST Australian leg, and tell me how many stadiums you think will be on the schedule.
3. I’d wait until these shows and the album go on sale before getting cocky.

The O2 Arena fits 20,000 people, Beyonce sold out 11 dates in 10 minutes, that over 200,000 people rushing to buy tickets and y’all really want to sit here and act like home girl couldn’t pull through with a COUPLE stadium dates if she wanted to? LOL stop. Beyonce is the bigger touring force and no amount of stadium dates that still don’t out-gross the one performing to arenas is going to change that.
