Beyonce’s ‘Formation’ Blacklisted By British Radio?

BBC Radio 1 may have thrown their support behind Beyonce‘s ‘Formation’, but it seems the song may not receive the same from its rival Global.

Full story below…

The cut is not an official single, but was released to support the star’s stadium tour of the same name and its politically-charged album.

With this in mind there’s no doubt any support from Top 40 radio can only support the entertainer’s current era.

Unfortunately, a new report claims that the highly influential Global may “ignore” the Hip-Hop number.

HDD reports:

Global Radio is reportedly considering ignoring surprise Beyoncé track, “Formation,” according to a report in U.K. tabloid the Mirror. With the BBC fully behind the song – out via Colin Barlow‘s Sony imprint RCA in Blighty – a blackout at Global will surely be ill-advised.

Touted as a pro-Black anthem the song has seen the performer accused of using its lyrics to “race bait” by several critics who now support an Anti-Beyonce event set to take before the aforementioned tour’s launch.

Told u her career was over

    • RASHAD February 11, 2016

Career over? Her world tour is SOLD OUT on all PRE-Sales and she already began adding dates. Beyonce will be fine because Beyonce never responds to her haters. Once white people get over it and realizes Beyonce gives 0 f**** they will find another black person to make the enemey of that state. I’m glad Beyonce used America’s largest audience Superbowl (115.1 million viewers) and called out White America on their B*******!

      • Slayyorfav February 11, 2016

We as the hive need to create a storm of shade for all the haters and racist b****** we GOTTA show out!!! We need to make news like we did for kid rock they are about to really try Beyoncé with a lot of bull cuz of this and we need to be there to have her back because she our girl and she did NOTHING wrong

      • Sam February 11, 2016

She does respond.I thought the song was a response… the first line. I though Bow Down was a response?

Try to keep it real and not delusional

    • monarc087 February 11, 2016

Her carrier is not over. But her same old song and dance routine is gotten old. The trolls know the truth – she running around jumping on the black panthers movement BUT ALL THE WHILE FLICKING HER BLONDE WIG AND SKIN BLEACHING all over the place.

She preaching about being creole because like most light skin people she’s claiming she’s “mixed”. Girl take that wig off and we will see how black you really are.

Shame she does not have a iconic HIT—like Hero, I will always love you, We belong together, MY HEART WILL GO ON, Like a virgin. Beyonce has no Iconic Hit.

      • RASHAD February 11, 2016

        @Monarc087

I love Bey but I do agree with the “blonde wig” at the Superbowl. I thought she could have atleast wore “Black hair” or wore and afro like the rest of her dance… However blonde is her signature but, it does make her look like a hyproctie while she singing “I love my baby hair/afro and negro nose/Jackson 5 nostroils”. Far as a Iconic hits I disagree. She has plently of memeorable songs with Destinys Child & Solo hits that have all aged very well!

      • Danzou February 11, 2016

Blonde hair was not invented nor is it exclusive to white people you ignorant f.uck

  2. #Beautiful February 11, 2016

This is much bigger than a song. I’m proud of her for taking a stance and speaking up. She’s Beyoncé. She doesn’t have to do anything. It’s such a shame that we have such simple minded people in the world today. I don’t care if it’s on the radio or on Tidal. I’m gonna be bumping this song for a while and don’t even get me started on that d*** video!

    • rosy February 11, 2016

She spoke up when she made her money off white people now they really will mess with her you thump your nose at them that’s what happens I say it again I want bey to win you have two black women at the top and white people and media is going to try and take them down I’m glad she is taking a stance now never too late

  3. Everyone’s A Critic February 11, 2016

Convenient. We can’t have anything that’s a little progressive.
The black owned stations should play it on the hour just to make a point. She don’t need the validation anyway but points for effort to the oppressors

  4. Sjxuvjxisbfj February 11, 2016

White Brit here and I support the song and the message 100%. I just don’t understand many of the people on this earth.

  5. RASHAD February 11, 2016

White peoples “REAL” issue with Beyonce is obvious. They mad because a “Black woman” didn’t “stay in her place”. How dare a black women with has Fame, Power, Influence & extreme wealth had the audacity to use her platform on a “white own network” to publicly denounced the unjustified murders of Black civilians instead of entertaining them in a way that makes them “comfortable”. Basically white folks are dismayed that their “token black girl” would even give a damn about her fellow black people let alone say that she is unapologetically black and proud! I guess I’m their eyes because she is good enough for “them” she should disassociate, stay quite, & turn a blind eye to black community issues. #STAYMAD

    • blackdude February 11, 2016

Well written dude, i could not have said it better. Like someone said on another site, they want the right to whip us, but we are not allowed to scream ! What Beyoncé did was bold and fierce ! I hope black people will get over “the blonde wig, skin bleaching stuff” and other silly whining and hating comments, to see what is really at stake here. She need our total support (the radios, the blogs,…). We have to stand and stay united this time. No more Janet Hubert-ish video please !

    • Pat February 11, 2016

Dang u pretty much just summed it all up. Exactly what i was thinking.

    • rosy February 11, 2016

You know what rasad you made a good point and don’t take it as olive branch if you come at rih I’m still cussing you out beyonce is doing the right thing I always wonder why she is not using her power to influence things like these issues especially things concerning black women I’m not going to bash her for standing up as Bob Marley say get up stand up for your rights

      • killian February 11, 2016

Awww beyonce formation putting all of us in coordination..#queenbey #princessriri black royalty come through

  6. Pro Bey February 11, 2016

Ok this is taking out of control
    All the attack and hate
    I cant!!

    She the B**** tho…….

After this she gain a few new fans and lost a few also!!!!!

I wondering what the Obama’s think of this song?

    • RASHAD February 11, 2016

Trust the Obama’s are happy she did it!

  7. King B February 11, 2016

Beyoncé would never respond. NICE TRY. If it’s OTHER artist, they will respond on TWITTER. eg, Azelia Bank, Gaga and Rihanna.

  8. LB February 11, 2016

I don’t even understand why there is such an uproar nor do I understand why the black community is deeming this song pro black movement; the song has got absolutely nothing to do with that.

If you listen to the song, all the woman is talking about are stereotypes and getting f*****, there is no depth in the song, just amateur garbage simple lyrics.

If the African American community really wanted something to get a conversation going, they should have demanded something like Janet Jackson’s Rhythm Nation.

All Giselle is doing with this song is attention seeking, simple.

    • RASHAD February 11, 2016

I would take your comment serious however you spent ampble amount on this very blog trying to convience “US” that your girl “Rihanna pretending to be a BAD ASS” is her being impactful/ANTI” Child sit…. Beyonce has managed to spark INTERNATIONAL debates about race/culutre in the past 2 weeks. First ColdPlay “Hymm for the weekend” and accusations of “Indaian Culture Appropriation” and Now “Black Panthers”. Atleast Beyonce’s “Ameture/grabage lyrics” are actually meaningful to the world. What is Rihanna singing about these days? “Let me see you work and wind it up… Boy don’t come for the Queen!

      • rosy February 11, 2016

Rasad stop and leave rih alone you responding to people who probably pretending to be navy and want a Stan war if you really a intelligent person why would anyone want to bash beyonce for standing up they use rih to bait a Stan war because they know you call bey a name with navy avatar people will come and start s*** they are on the same team I’m tired of these two being pitted against each other enough already

      • WINTZ February 11, 2016

Lol do u want to attempt to come for RIHANNA’s QUALITY of MUSIC in defence of that OXYMORON joke of a song called “Formation”.

        1. The self praising lyrics of the song DID NOT match what the video portrayed. A confusing MESS and that’s what BEYfake really is as well… 1 confusing BLONDE mess!

        2. The blonde used our BLACK PANTHERS as bait because she KNOWS that this iconic body would draw the ATTENTION SHE NEEDED TO SELL HER NEW ALBUM.
        .
        3. Rihanna has sparked woman’s rights /empowerment controversy world wide with the song “Man Down”. My bish BEEN releasing quality music! And the LYRICS matched the VIDEO. That’s why it was EPIC.

        4. Tell this confused BLONDE that we want TO SEE the FACE of the NEW RACIST /C*** MANAGEMENT because we don’t TRUST her witchy azzzz!

        5. Two words. KARMA. K.HILSON. This petty witch has blackballed this woman’s career. Why should we feel sorry for her? Because she now is “proud” to be black? Really bish… Miss me with the BS!

    • Sam February 11, 2016

I agree! The song is just egotistical because it only responds to what people have been saying about her and her fans what to make it all deep and meaningful.
Granted the video was very powerful visually, but if she had made it into a short film with no music or at least not those lyrics it would’ve stood for much more.
I completely miffed that it’s easy to be pro black these days. all those people marching in the streets, getting assaulted by police and getting racially abused by people at rallies all they had to do is put on a afro wig or maybe a leotard or better still carry hot sauce in their bags or wear a Givenchy dress.

      • rosy February 11, 2016

She is black why are you hating on your own black people it makes no sense you want to be mad at beyonce for speaking up give the woman credit it’s never late let see what she does with her power I see how influencial she is for little black girls blue ivy is showing other little black girls to be happy with your texture hair accept it what part ignant people do not see what she doing I’m not going to hate on your own blacks I said the same for rih and im doing it for bey they are two powerful black women in an industry that is racist we should give props and stop the f***** up Stan fight they represent black power on the same team lawd people need phychotic drug yall really hate these two

      • Sam February 12, 2016

@ Rosie, an opinion isn’t hate, its an opinion unless it has negative connitations and i didn’t type any. Now, if you think that children need to taught to be proud of their blackness by a Beyonce video than you have a problem. Yes Blue Ivy is in the video but Beyonce is using words inappropriate for children and is sticking her fingers up.
Children learn to be proud of their hair and blackness from their parents and family, none of the kids watching this are hanging out with Bey, Jay and Blue in the sand pit or on their private jet or yacht.
Powerful black people do not equate to anything. Stacey Dash and Raven Symone are out there in prominent positions saying their opinions that don’t benefit blacks so when people are upset are they hating?
You tell me what Beyonce & Rihanna are doing vocally apart from being blackk!?

    • Shady 81 February 11, 2016

The difference between Beyonce’s Formation and Janet Jackson Album Rhythm Nation 1814 was yes they where both criticized @LB but with Janet’s Rhythm Nation. Janet actually had a movement going speaking to still what’s being relevant to this day that’s why that album is so iconic to this day and she made a statement with the all black military attire, no leotards just a fully clothed bold and direct statement and no afros Janet made people focus on the movement. Now I think the problem people have with Beyonce is that they feel she comes off as hypocrite in a too little too late why are you doing this now when we know it only benefits you in the long run factor. White people go up in arms about the dumbest things but these are the same people and others are not afraid to point out your hypocrisy, to them it worked for Janet it just doesn’t work for Beyonce.

  9. Yorgo February 11, 2016

GOOD LORDT, THE KARMA FOR BLACKLISTING THE GREAT KERI HILSON. KERI IS COMING BACK NOW, MARK MY WORDS ahahhahahah

    • RASHAD February 11, 2016

Keri Is coming to finish what she started which is absolutely NOTHING! Rita Ora would pop off before Keri ever will! Keri will forever be known as the foolish singer who tried to come for Beyonce & Ciara but sadly ended her own career before it could take off! Beyonce will remain unbothered!

      • Yorgo February 11, 2016

boo, I’m being sarcastic to my own 2nd fave keri lol But yeaahh Keri is no where near as successful as Beyonce, but you can’t deny that she did extremely well from 2009-10 considering the climate of R&B music when she came out. In a perfect World was a great piece of work & certified gold. & Knock you down, pretty girl rock, turnin me on & I like all did extremely well. Also she may not be the most powerful vocalist, but she can still sing well, has a nice head voice registry & can perform great vocal runs. On top of her great songwriting ability. I’m not coming for Bey, just making fun of the “blacklisting” rumours

  10. Yorgo February 11, 2016

I’m all for Bey representing minority rights & advancing society. & love some of her songs. But for real, i don’t like how she uses her power to obtain songwriting credits for songs that she simply didn’t write. & ofc producers/writers still work with her for the exposure/success. But its just shady to me. I know it happens a lot but i thought Bey wouldn’t engage in that sort of activity. Disappointing, because real songwriters are busting their ass out there

  11. #BeyHiveLOVER February 11, 2016

Damn! We all know why Bey getting all this hate thrown her way. She spoke up and used their (white peoples) platform to do so.This b**** knew exactly what she was doing and this is the exact reaction she and her team wanted. She made waves. “You know you that b**** when you cause all this conversation…” And why on earth are some of you going on about her hair? Trust some of you to catch a feel about that and not the real issue.

  12. RihSLAY February 11, 2016

    DAMN.

I LOVE BEY but I hope all of this backlash from mainstream outlets doesn’t hurt the sales for her next album nor the support it’ll need from the mainstream arena altogether.

I’m in no way comparing this to Rihanna’s “ANTI” rollout but what a coincidence that the TWO BIGGEST BLACK POP STARS IN THE WORLD are, strangely, in the midst of this crisis… together?

    .

If I haven’t said it before, I’ll say it again…

The POWERS know what they are doing?

    1) Adele just went #1 on the Adult R&B songs chart and Billboard had the audacity to call her the QUEEN of Adult and “Urban” contemporary.

    2) Rolling Stone had the audacity to call Justin Bieber the new “Prince of Reggae-Pop” because of ‘Sorry’.

    .

I Love both BEY and RIH and I pray everyday that they sustain in this disgustingly white-washed music industry that is slowly (BUT SURELY) trying to eliminate any trace of the colossal Black influence on every aspect of Pop culture.

    • Yorgo February 11, 2016

      Well said!

      • King B February 11, 2016

Exactly! The fact that her tour sold out proves nothing has changed. And Beyhive is a very huge fanbase.Anyway, what’s the problem with the song actually? I thought she is just proud of her race??

    • King B February 11, 2016

I doubt it will hurt the sales. But, let us just wait and see. Madonna can survive despite all the controversies…

      • Yorgo February 11, 2016

Yeah i doubt it too. Bey has a very solid fanbase & group of supporters. Plus a very positive media representation generally

  13. RihSLAY February 11, 2016

What I need BEY to do now is do an interview where she OPENYL speaks about ‘Formation’ and concludes with why she doesn’t give A SINGLE FÛČĶ about whodoesn’t like it.

    .

    BLACK POWER!!!

    .

    (Yeah, I said it^).

    • WINTZ February 11, 2016

We always were BLACK POWER with or without this fake witch.

      .
WE WANT TO SEE THE FACES of HER NEW MANAGEMENT kiiii

      .

  14. Chillitsjustpizza February 11, 2016

  17. legendriri February 11, 2016

    • Yorgo February 11, 2016

omg really?i didn’t bother listening to the song… sounded generic

  18. MsYonce February 11, 2016

White people were all for Beyonce until she reminded them that she was Black. All the racists are really coming out of the closet. Y’all mad cause y’all weren’t included for real Like can we have something for ourselves. Lol she got people talking so job well done

    • WINTZ February 11, 2016

Go ahead an post the lyrics of that mess u r here defending.

  19. Shademegrey February 11, 2016

I do not like white people at all. They annoyed the hell out of me. They are mad that a voice amazing and powerfuls as Bey spoke the truth. They want her to be a token black girl. She refuses. There crybaby ass will get over it and deal. By the way Bey sold out her tickets.

    • Delroy Dussard February 11, 2016

You sound just as bad as the people hating on her Superbowl/video there are nasty people in all races even black and that’s a fact

      • LadyS February 11, 2016

OK I feel you and I’m not racist. I just feel everything we do it’s a problem. All Beyonce is doing is speaking out for her race. What’s the problem.?

  20. legendriri February 11, 2016

i slay i slay i slay ok i slay i slay ok okok i slay i slay ok ladies lets get in flopation.the lyrics suck 4life. now white people are getting in formation to blacklist thiefyonce. desperate to sell her tour now she will be more desperate to save her career. it was fun sinking the police car which has nothing to do with the lyrics of the song. am black & am loving this. lmao. now she take reserved seat beside janet jackson.

    • Stand up February 11, 2016

You’re black and loving this, because you’re a Willy lynch c*** ass n****, that’s why. Now you, can have a f****** seat.

  21. Stand up February 11, 2016

Fyi, all of these troll accounts are PATHETIC. You’re in agreeance with them bashing her because you don’t like her, but what you all don’t understand, you are all denouncing yourselves as well, as White America is telling us to stay in our place. Open up your eyes, and your mind.

    • shakira stan February 11, 2016

When you diss rihanna wishing Taylor jb etc will outsell her you are doing just the same thing you pathetic hypocrite.

      • Stand up February 11, 2016

        .
We know what the blonde and her minions are doing.
        .
        It’s not going to work.
        .
Post the picture of the faces on her new management team. I would love to see who is responsible for using BLACK ISSUES as a marketing tool for this creole woman.

    • WINTZ February 11, 2016

We hate her even more for this. She can’t do anything important RIGHT. She put our people in this predicament to sell her album..

      .
This bish never cared that much about us and that is why she didn’t ensure that she did it correctly. We look like fools supporting this blonde.

      • RICHIE_RICH February 11, 2016

Girl why are you so upset? I bet them chipmunk jaws hurt!!!!!

  24. T February 11, 2016

Lmao at the delusional haters thinking this will hurt bey career. She has had a million controversies and not one of them has ended her career. U think some old racist white people who probably never bought her music anyway can stop her? This is the same woman who has the whole world talking every time she drops something. She will be fine and her millions of fans will continue to support.

  25. TYPE 2 DIABETES UNBOTHERED February 11, 2016

“NO TIME FOR NO HATERS… ALBINO ALIGATORS”. This my fav line in the whole song. That’s sad, but not bc B will get blacklisted, but bc as soon as the world is reminded that B is a light skin black woman and not a white woman with a tan like closet racists like to pretend she is, they get into their feelings. I see nothing wrong with what she did.

  35. Tyler Makiavelli February 11, 2016

2016 and the KKK are marching in the streets with our POLICE officers protecting them and the excuse is “freedom of speech”. No one is doing anything about that but a performance empowering blacks is wrong? WOW #FightThePower ✊✊✊✊✊✊✊✊✊✊✊✊✊✊✊✊✊✊✊✊✊✊✊✊✊✊✊✊✊✊✊✊✊✊✊✊✊✊✊✊✊✊✊✊✊✊✊✊✊✊✊✊✊✊✊✊

    • OMG Logic!!! February 11, 2016

Do you see a music video with the KKK in it? I thought not. Grow a brain b1tch.

And yes, like the Westboro Baptist Church, the KKK is allowed to say what they want. The Constitution grants them that right. We may not like it, but some of us don’t reduce our own intellect by pretending the 1st Amendment doesn’t exist.

      • Tyler Makiavelli February 11, 2016

Beyonce has every right to practice her 1st Amendment too b****!
Let me break this down for you HILLBILLY: White people did a whole bunch of evil and twisted s*** to other races throughout history, especially Black people. Black people struggled through all the unimaginable things that white people put them through and despite being denied opportunities and getting actively harmed just for existing, managed to thrive and became scholars, athletes, entertainers, artists etc. Black people are proud of what we achieved despite all the obstacles we’ve had to tackle. #GetInFormation

  36. JINX February 11, 2016

Blacklist this FAKE, unscrupulous, two-faced underhanded, dirty-dealing, WITCH!

    /
She is the reason behind Keri Hilson , an amazing underrated artist who writes her music, getting black balled in the music industry. Why should we feel bad for her?
    /
She is a PROUD creole who is now using blacks to get back at ADELE for stealing her crown at COLOMBIA RECORDS and not dueting with her. She can’t sell music.
    /
This marketing PLOY by her team is back firing and she made blacks look uneducated with those lyrics! Like a true illuminati the creole serpent she is, The blonde went and SACRIFICED our BLACK PANTHERS at the expense of selling her album.

We do NOT respect the formation LYRICS as it is NOT indicative of black struggle and is a blasphemy to the history of our BLACK PANTHERS- which was just used as another IMAGERY like the VIDEO was for marketing that FLOP “I slay” song. Shameless!!

I know whites are on board with this MESS! They collect their change from the blonde then go home to their dwelling and laugh at the backlash. It’s a win win. Beyonce gets the attention and they collect their pay.

Youre an idiot. I stopped reading at:
“She is the reason behind Keri Hilson , an amazing underrated artist who writes her music, getting black balled in the music industry. Why should we feel bad for her?”

Keri Hilson black balled herself. She’s the reason for own demise Beyonce did nothing wrong. Keri is the one who felt the need to take shots at an established artist .
