Pop diva Christina Aguilera has kept fans on the edge of their seats with anticipation for her new album.
The follow-up to 2012’s ‘Lotus,’ has yet to manifest, but Xtina assures that it’s most definitely on it’s way…this year.

You teased new music last fall. What’s the latest with that?
I’ve been loosely working on it the last couple of years. But I really started toward the middle and end of last year to really buckle down and meet with new collaborators and producers, people I want to work with and people I have never worked with before. I can’t say much about it yet because I want to wait until it’s good and ready. I am working on it and will be ready when it can be the authentic masterpiece that it deserves to be. But later this year, most likely.
Aguilera echoed the sentiment in a new interview promoting The Voice.
We’re gonna need her to stop playing and put the peddle to the metal. We’ve just the brilliance below to its maximum limit. Serve that freshness!
Ugh, sometimes I just want to tell Xtina to go f*ck herself because I’m sick of waiting 5 years for new music. You can make a masterpiece and not spend 5 years making it!!!
Lmao! Chile tell the truth now. I Stain hard for Xtina but damn come on! These gaps in between albums is brutal. No EP’s or Tours or anything. But I’ll cut her some slack since she is also doing a Spanish album. But I hope she comes through because to be honest I personally didn’t like Lotus, it just felt rushed? So I’ve been waiting since Bionic for a real album from her. But she seems to have that passion and fire again so lets hope so.
Is she trying to break Ciara’s record for most back to back flop albums?

I hope that she actually puts out more than 1 video next time and actually promote her singles by performing them or touring. Tired of her dropping projects and walking away from them
I’m excited for new music. I hope she puts the work in promoting properly and creates more than 1 video I don’t want a repeat of the last era… flop? Succeed? Idc I just want quality and for her to show she cares.

It’s exciting to hear her talk about the record and its progress and not promise anything like hard dates or put out singles and then disappear. I’d rather her take her time and come with something both classic and fresh.
Q4 is where its at anyway! I say let Beyonce, Adele, Rihanna, Mariah, Katy and Lady Gaga have Q1, 2 and 3. But watch out for Taylor Swift , because yes Xtina is lightyears more talented than Taylor she doesn’t hold a candle in the sales department these days. So everything has to be top notch (the singles, videos, artwork, promotion, tour -SHE NEEDS TO TOUR!). It all has to be right. TBD..
