‘The Life of Pablo’ isn’t the only album Kanye West fans will receive this year.
That’s right…new Yeezy is nigh.
The ‘TIDAL’ rider made the announcement on Twitter minutes ago after learning the aforementioned ‘Pablo’s “unique” roll out stopped it from impacting the chart system.
‘Entertainment Weekly‘ reports:
In a statement to EW, Billboard says it “has been informed that Tidal is not currently reporting streams for tracks on Kanye’s album to Nielsen Music. Therefore streams from Tidal for this title will not contribute toBillboard’s chart rankings at this time.”
An industry source also tells EW that Tidal reports numbers to Nielsen and Billboard unless “the artist does not give permission” and that “Kanye West didn’t give permission to release any of the numbers.”
A release date for his new set is yet to be announced.
