‘Work‘, supported by the rapper Drake, shot to #2 on the chart following her live delivery of it at last night’s BRIT awards. This, despite its parent album being on course to becoming one of her lowest selling sets in the market in which her third studio album ‘Good Girl Gone Bad’ was certified platinum…six times.
Meanwhile, Yonce‘s Coldplay-led jam ‘Hymn For The Weekend’ sits two spots beneath it at #4 but two spots above Adele’s ‘When We Were Young’ which resides at #6.
As for ‘Formation’? Its buzz cut status means it will not serve as an official Beyonce single, only released to spark interest in the icon’s stadium tour.
