Adele is heading to the 2016 Glastonbury Festival!
The Brit bred superstar has formally been revealed as headliner of day 2 of the multi-day extravaganza, which kicks off July 22nd and runs through to the 26th.
In doing so, she joins a list of previous headliners that includes both Beyonce and Kanye West.
News broke via the Adele herself at her sold-out show at London’s O2 Arena moments ago.
After revealing the tea, she hilariously gushed:
“Don’t tell anyone I told you I think it’s a secret.”
Shortly after, the Glastonbury Twitter account confirmed, writing:
As @Adele just announced live on stage in London, she will headline Saturday night at this year’s Glastonbury Festival!

The booking, which sees the songstress join previously announced bill-toppers Coldplay and Muse, fittingly caps off the European leg of her ‘Adele Live’ tour. After Glasto, she’ll bring the box-office blockbuster to North America for another sold-out run.
Since its November release, ’25’ – the star’s third studio album – has sold over 19 million copies worldwide.
Tidbit: Not that it’s even needed at this junction, but we’d love to see another song receive the [proper] single treatment in a “cherry on top” capacity.

Did I miss the video for When We Were Young? She announced it as the 2nd single but nothing else came of it except the cover art. She better release at least 2 more singles from this album! At least Sweetest Devotion and Water Under the Bridge.

This used to be a rock fest but organizers are getting smarter by including more pop artistsm Apparently Beyonce is making a movie album (whatever that is). Maybe this time she might get that classic album she’s still missing. Or better yet a US #1, 2008 is a long time ago. Oh and where is the Mrs Carter Show DVD or doesn’t she release tour DVDs anymore?
That would be routine for her. Self titled basically was a movie album. She might make it more cohesive this time. As in blending the songs into different scenarios. I’m actually looking forward to seeing what she brings this time around. I’ve been unhappy with her after bday. I don’t dislike her, just the music. I actually hope she rebirths bday or even dil era.
