New Video: Teyana Taylor – ‘Undercover’

New mom Teyana Taylor took approximately no time to get back to business, as evidenced by her newest visual ‘Undercover.’

Following last month’s ‘Touch Me’ (found alongside ‘Undercover’ on ‘The Cassette Tape 1994’ mixtape), the new video sees the songstress pay homage to the 90s – one of her favorite eras of music (see: references to Janet Jackson, fashion, and so much more).  With its Bell Biv Devoe ‘Poison’ sample in tow, ‘Undercover,’ and its Elijah Steen-directed visual, is one helluva ride down memory lane.

Neither here or there for the song but the video slays my junior high 90s life. In living color on TV, cross colours clothes, bbd, and partyachine hosted by nia peeples omg this just took me THERE. Yes!!!!

I want to like it because of the idea for the theme of the video but it doesn’t do much for me.
Great for her to comeback so quick and maintain her SNATCHED body though.

Also, Sevyn Streeter & Mila J ESPECIALLY Mila J need to hurry up and release a single now it’s been way too long and the public will move on to something new that hits the streets that’s all. Love them all though! 🙂

Whoa! Ah-mazing!!!Totally loved the theme, fashions, hair, the retro camera quality, and overall 90’s throwback…Song is dope… love how she Incorporated BBD’s Classic “Poison” while giving a new jam. Her voice is raspy yet unique I could definitely see her and Keke Palmer collaborating they have a knack for personal visionary ideas for their projects…I think if promoted right this song could be a Smash on Urban radio and creating smooth transitional crossover to mainstream…Chris Brown would be a nice addition to a possible Remix as well as Keke Palmer…You can tell she is involved in every aspect of her music from videos, lyrics and direction….Oustanding Video and Song!

Amazing. The vocal layering under the “under cover” chorus is everything. Giving me Brandy n s***. Shes an actual good singer

Yes! TT better come through!! She goes IN when she performs this live! It’s funny because just the other day I was wondering why she didn’t include this song on the album?! But either way I’m glad to see that she’s still fighting, this girl is extremely underrated. Her album was so dope!

I’m surprised to actually like this (or anything by Teyana Taylor). If her team gets behind this, it can be a big hit.

This is taking me back right here! I miss that era in music so much! The sounds, the clothing, the dancing, etc. I like it! It’s cool.
