Fall 2014 saw fans bid farewell to BET’s hit video countdown show ‘106 & Park’ after 14 years on the air.
Since then, there have been murmurs of a replacement show, but nothing has come to fruition…until now. Sending his followers into a frenzy, original show host Aj Calloway took to Instagram to let fans in on news the show is coming back – with himself and his cohort Free as the hosts!

AJ n Free was poppin after school but idnt think they relate to this generation give some younger concious black men n women a chance some non celeb educated motivated intellectual gab gifted youngins aj n free need to be to promote they career. This needs to be an April Fools Day joke. They don’t need to bring back old hosts this late after canceling the show. They need new and innovative ideas. BET has been struggling for years on in. Sad and shame.

That was my favorite music show back in the day. It fell off when AJ and Free left. However, the thing that also made it a hit was the music and talented musicians who sat on the couch. With today’s music and artist, I won’t be watching.
Damn! They didn’t age a bit! No wrinkles in sight at all! I love my beautiful black people and I’m beyond here for BET thinking about us for once and bringing these iconic veterans back. Yes please! I can stare at them all day!
This is great but at the same time AJ and free are from my generation and we about to graduate from college soon and some have already. They pretty much have to gain this new genration that’s up and coming. But I loved their chemistry back then so it probably won’t be hard. I will def support when I can though. #AJ&Free!!!
This is actually needed. R&B/Hip Hop acts have no place to really promote their music on television. Honestly, I would love if TRL would come back too. I miss watching TV specials tbh… Also, they need to bring back a special like the “The Ed Sullivan Show” on FOX/ABC… Where artist are forced to perform their music live & on the spot ACAPELLA… With live instruments. I think that would be awesome.
