Beyonce rocked countless corners of the internet this weekend with the release of her sixth studio ‘Lemonade.’
The fiercely anticipated set landed on TIDAL last night following the premiere of its accompanying short film of the same name on HBO.
With no word issued on the project’s broader roll-out (i.e. retail), many were left speculating as to what to expect.
Well, if new reports prove true, ‘Lemonade’ is set to be poured out onto the world’s largest music store in a mere of hours.

The New York Times has gone to press touting midnight tonight as the release for LP on iTunes:
Tidal’s period of exclusivity appears to be quite short — just 24 hours, as the album is expected to be released for sale on iTunes at midnight on Sunday, according to two people briefed on the plans for the release, who, following the usual ironclad rules of secrecy surrounding Beyoncé’s projects, were not authorized to discuss them. Apple declined to comment.
As at writing, ‘Lemonade’ was made available to purchase on TIDAL moments ago.

I am glad she is releasing on more formats. The album is eclectic and cohesive, and I think Rihanna and Beyonce have done a great job this era pushing the envelope of standard pop fare. With the passing of Prince/Michael there are very few artists who deliver a full concept, whether it pleased you or not, she created a spectacle, a EVENT. Thriller was not everyone’s cup of tea, but it was provocative and made an impact. I like that she did this, it puts her in a league that not many can call home. Here’s hoping she bags another number 1 cd!

It’s more of a combination of B’Day and Selftitled. B’Day had that soulful Louisiana swag to it, and the whole of the Lemonade visual tributes Beyonce’s Black creole roots. Selftitled had that experimental and urban pop appeal which Lemonade touches upon.

I understand you want the album bad but it was a setup all along. Subscribers is what tidal needs. It makes sense. Rihanna, Kanye, now bey. Anti was purposely leaked and dropped on tidal. Kanye comes and says his album will never be for sale, bey comes and they claim it will drop midnight. I honestly feel like each of them are dropping another album lol. ???.
