With Pop pack the The Wanted on hiatus, the group’s vocal nucleus Nathan Sykes is striking out solo.

After warming up the masses last year, the vocal powerhouse charges ahead full steam with new single ‘Give It Up.’

Man of the moment G-Eazy joins Sykes on the soulful cut – which samples Blackstreet‘s ‘Don’t Leave.’

Critics are buzzing and we imagine the record buying public will follow. To assist the cause, Sykes has released the track’s official video.

TGJ is a bit late with this as they are very limited on the artists they are capable of either reporting on or shading.
Anyway, as this song has been banned from mainstream TV for being too raunchy, it might just be a good move for Nathan as people flock online to see it thus ranking numbers for the streaming market.
The song is okay but i’m not sure if it has enough spark to push Nathan forward into an already saturated market and agin some notice, especially with the regular old briber doing so well and male artists not having the same media exposure outlet like the females (fashion, magazine covers ect) so only time will tell

There’s a difference between sampling and interpolating. This song doesn’t ‘sample’ Blackstreet’s “Don’t Leave,” it resings some of its chorus. That being said, he’s a really decent singer and if he can avoid going the trendy Bieber/Zayn/N. Jonas route of playing up to whatever for attention, then he may become credible.

Critics are buzzing? no they ain’t! he’s an average vocalist at best and his music is somewhere between nick Jonas , Justin timberland and just believer. distinctly pop but overall average. tgj needs to stop trying to make him happen… mainly cause Sam wants his d*ck. either way both ain’t happening
