New Video: Alicia Keys – ‘In Common’

Published: Friday 20th May 2016 by Sam

It’s here!

Alicia Keys has uncaged the video for comeback single ‘In Common.’

Released to showers of praise earlier this month, the song has been steadily building at Urban radio – a trajectory that’ll no doubt intensify now that its accompanying visual is in the mix.

Artsy, edgy, yet simplistic, the effective clip awaits after the jump…

Factually speaking, Alicia is in re-build mode after the so-so response to her last album,  ‘Girl On Fire.’ As such, this seemingly soft launch and savvy use of her budget (with the video) are smart.

Presently untitled, Keys’ sixth studio effort is set for a late summer release.

Yes Ms Keys?? I’m here for it. Can’t wait for her performance at the BET awards. Unlike most artists ALL of Alicia’s albums have been certified platinum or beyond.

Girl On Fire was a hot mess though. Didn’t fit her style AT ALLLLLL. I’m liking this back to boho Alicia. I’m here for it

        Lies you tell! Repent dahhhling.
“Fire We Make” slayed my soul, “When It’s Over” dragged my hairline back — she had some gems on there.

You’re a hating ass gorilla pig looking thot. This song is actually refreshing as well as the video. If you think any of that other crap you just called out is genuine music then you need to study music you roly poly lard looking witch.

I recommend you going vegan. You look like you´re at death´s door hun. Eat a lot if you want, but at least healthy: rice, potatos, pasta, sweet potatos, lentils and fruits and vegetables. No oil. It will change your life. Also, move your body a little bit honey!!! 🙂

I love the song, the single cover and the more natural look. I’m not too keen on the video but that’s because i find the she disappoints with videos in general

Aesthetically speaking, I’m not sure where she is going with this stripped back no makeup look, because with this song, i am not sure how it compliments the material. But this raw look could mean that something huge is coming this era, and I’ll wait cause this song is not it. She performed another one on snl that was more promising. The fluid dance choreography in this video is right in line with the production. C-

God this woman is so so underated, this song, the video, the whole look, is just so awesome. This woman is such an all around iconic artist. I don’t know if people really get how truly talented she is, she is not an entertainer or just an artist, she is a TRUE musician.
