The maestro is behind several cuts on Drake’s LP ‘Nothing Was the Same.’
Alas, things have taken a turn for the worst in his relationship with the ‘Hotline Bring’ provider.
According to Detail, their friendship hit a flat note when he refused to sign on to become Drake’s exclusive producer.
He then says he received a call from a rapper asking him to visit him at his home in Calabasas so that they could work on beats for him when he arrived.
Little did he know that it was he who was to receive the “beats.”
Detail says he arrived at 2 AM and was met by Drake’s bodyguard, Chubbs, who coldcocked him and broke his jaw.
Detail says during the beating, Chubbs yelled, “I will beat all your asses, including your bitches. I don’t give a f***. I will hit you again. Do you think Drake is soft? You think Drake’s a punk?”
He believes Drake gave the order and has now filed a lawsuit he hopes will see him return the favour in court.

Lol!! From the headline I thought it was Drake who delivered the beating which seemed off to me. But I see it was (allegedly) his body guard. I’ll wait for the rest of the story cause this doesn’t seem right. What, would beating his a$$ make him suddenly agree to produce Drake’s music? Lol! If it is, I want to know how much celebrity bodyguards get paid to beat people up and take the fall for it cause it seems to happen quite often. A bit scary if you think about it; rich people being able to higher someone to beat the sh*t out of you for no reason. I was watching a documentary where Lindsay Lohan allegedly had her bodyguard beat up Paris Hilton’s brother.

I think Drake knows he’s on the softer side. I don’t think he tries to be harder than he is.
Why does law abiding mean being soft? Black masculinity and crime are not naturally synonymous. We wonder why so many young men go astray after we tell them that being “hard” is the way to be and that being sensible is to be “soft.”
