In recent times, there has been a shocking shortage of male performers in the Pop landscape.
Indeed, with trend chasers embracing the minimalist mantra that seems to be all the rage these days, choreographed acts have been on the wane.
22-year-old Jordan Fisher aims to turn the tide with his unique blend of the fresh and familiar.
A multi-dimensional talent, the Alabama native rose to prominence in Disney’s ‘Teen Beach’ movie series and, more recently ‘Grease: Live.’ Now, he aims to breakout as an adult star with his first ever single ‘All About Us.’
The video for the dance-floor jam has been receiving booming buzz since its debut last month and with ripe reason.
Fisher juxtaposes 2016 simplicity with the same brand of dynamic that made the likes of Usher, Justin Timberlake, and Chris Brown the phenomenons they are.
The clip’s choreography, courtesy of Wildabeast and Janelle Ginestra, evokes an effortlessly cool and serves as a powerful reminder that the art of performance can still resonate in today’s climate.
With a growing fanbase, is Fisher about to be the music’s next big thing? Watch the video above and let us know!
His tone reminds me a bit of Zayn’s, but just a tad. Anyway, this guy has it! The looks, the voice, the dance skills & most importantly, the X factor! I can see him blowing up, I just hope he stays original and keeps it clean. The last thing we need is another uninspired and routinely disappointing Trey Songz or Chris Brown.
Talented but all I’m seeing is a cross between Nick Jonas, Zhayn & Jason Derulo. What’s Jordan Fisher bringing to the table we ain’t already ate?
Amongst that list you provided? Talent worth a damn, save Derulo.
Interesting…not as muted as Zayn, sounds better than Jonas, cleaner than Justin and more balanced than Jason.
Let’s see where this goes…
My thoughts exactly
I’m so feeling it. My new crush ??❤️??
Very Nick Jonas. Bit boring
His voice is his best strength, but the song and video is styled too closely to Nick Jonas. Maybe his team just wants to get him in the door with something people find familiar before doing something more original with him down the road.
Choregraphed acts died off because it was over-saturated in pop music. Literally every male pop artist danced at one point. It was stale because they had no creative or artistic depth to them and recycled each others moves. Bruno Mars Ed Sheeran, and Sam Smith were a breath of fresh air tbh. Case and point, this song a video. Everyone is already seeing the Jason Derulo/Zayn/Nick Jonas/Chris Brown influences. Hopefully he has something more to offer. He has the look and talent.
Choreographed acts died off because a new crop of acts couldn’t dance, or even pretend to, but still had something that could be marketed. If Bruno, Ed or Sam could dance, they would. They can’t, so they don’t. Just like big voiced singers seemingly died off, because people like Taylor and Katy weren’t capable of that…but still managed to be catchy enough to get attention. If this kid can dance, then more power to him for utilizing all of his talent. Everything old eventually becomes new again. Big dance videos will come back at some point. He might not be the one to bring them back, but they’ll return sooner or later.
Thumps up for this guy.has it all and luv this track.see him being the next big pop star.he stayed in his lane and did it well.great job.
Nice & smooth!
I definitely see the potential in him, music is a bit too redundant. I’m hoping he will have some better music on the way.
Well…. I love this fresh flow but the challenge is lying in…. Who is snatching the crown of Usher and than there is only one King Bee!!! I must say his sound and song getting close to the Nathan Sykes jam “Kiss me quick” but is he (Jordan) quick enough to Kiss his jordans and run as hard as he can¿ time will tell! In the meanwhile we will see who is coming close to de-throne the Royal families of the Bieber and the B-Hyves!
nothing unique..boring
This is right up LB’s aisle.
Nice music video
Given time, I believe he will do well.
