Madonna‘s ‘Borderline‘ received a fresh dose of live life yesterday and her fans have Jimmy Fallon to thank for it.
Keen to celebrate her classic-kissed discography, the entertainer took to Fallon’s talkshow to perform the number 23 years after its release.

Borderline was like her first video that MTV played in heavy rotation and her first top 10 hit in the US on the Hot 100. She filmed a video for Burning Up, a single that was released before Borderline, but it was only released in Europe. Gwen Guthrie, one of the back up vocalists on this song, released one of the best gold digging anthems ever in the 80s, Ain’t Nothing Going On But the Rent.
I don’t think Gwen’s song was gold digging, she just wanted a man who was doing something with his life.

I love this song.
Bish can barely sing (plus at her age she´s lost the beautiful quality her voice had especially between 1995 and 2005) but who cares! In this case it is justified by her amazing catalogue. And hard work and innovation. And being involved in her career 🙂
