Nicole Scherzinger is heading back to The X Factor…officially.
Much ado had been made about the siren’s sudden departure from the Broadway revival of ‘CATS’ after the show’s UK producer Andrew Lloyd-Webber slammed her for ditching the show for the talent-search.
In the weeks since, the former Pussycat Doll has remained mum.
Yet, the silence was shattered this morning when X Factor producers issued a press release confirming her spot on the panel alongside Simon Cowell, Sharon Osbourne, and Louis Walsh.
Speaking of her return to the UK series (which is the original), Scherzinger said:
“I can’t wait to be back in the UK and on the show with the best judges sitting alongside me on the panel. I’m excited about discovering, mentoring and winning with an exciting new act this year. And having had winning contestants in the past, Simon knows I will do it.”
It seems she’ll be using the platform for new music, as she posted this studio snap immediately after the announcement.
Though a popular choice with viewers, she’s squandered all but the first of her three previous runs with the show when it comes to using it to benefit her music career. Indeed, she’d oftentimes sit out performing and release music after the season had ended.
Here’s hoping she rights those wrongs this go round.
