Prince‘s cause of death has been revealed today.

Unfortunate news below..

TMZ reports:

The ME’s Office has been conducting toxicology testing on the singer, and TMZ has confirmed the results point to an “opioid overdose.”

We broke the story … 6 days before his death, Prince had nearly died from a Percocet overdose that forced an emergency landing in Moline, IL … where he had to get a “save” shot.

Percocet is an opioid — a combination of oxycodone and acetaminophen (Tylenol) — but the AP report doesn’t specify what opioid was in Prince’s system.

As we’ve reported, Dr. Michael Schulenberg was at Paisley Park the morning Prince diedthere — and Dr. Howard Kornfeld‘s son was also there with opioids used to treat addiction. Schulenberg’s attorney has said he did not give Prince any meds that morning.

Your thoughts?

You sound like a grade a dumbass.

  3. LmfaoHoe June 2, 2016

A tragic story of his death just as was MJ and Whitney.

    • HALF AMAZIN June 3, 2016

This isn’t true. This is the cover up. Prince died from complications from A***. He was a Jehovas Witness so he didn’t allow proper treatment.
      .
And FYI TGJ–a “save” shot is called Naloxone. It keeps the central nervous system from shutting down (imminent death).

      • HALF AMAZIN June 3, 2016

Why is the name of a very real, incurable disease sensored on this site? You allow people to say some of the worse things in these comments, yet that is sensored.

  4. Keri Qween June 2, 2016

    Is that official ?

  5. Jaquala88 June 2, 2016

Something is suspect. All these people dying from drugs that’s supposed to help them??? Wouldn’t be surprised if 20 years from now the truth comes out

    • OMG Logic!!! June 2, 2016

Suspect? Opioids aren’t vitamins sweetheart. You don’t just keep taking them over and over like cocktails. There are consequences to being addicted to them. Death is one of them.

      • Danzou June 2, 2016

@omg it’s like you’re aiming to annoy all the black commenters.

      • Jaquala88 June 2, 2016

Sweetheart I work in the nursing field very well aware of that. If you missed my point it just can’t be a coincidence that most of these black celebs are dying from what they call drug overdose. Considering prince and his lifestyle Jehovah witness don’t even like taking Tylenol something is very suspect as I said.

Ma diamond and pearls rear our baby look after Whitney and MJ

  7. LadyS June 2, 2016

Trying to nail black people. I can’t stand whites.

    • QueenDime June 2, 2016

      I sure can’t either.

    • OMG Logic!!! June 2, 2016

      Racist b1tch.

      • Danzou June 2, 2016

@omg there’s no such thing as racism towards white people only prejudice. You can’t be affected by a system created by YOUR race to keep you at an advantage in society. That’s not how this works.

    • Danzou June 2, 2016

I can’t stand white people either.

      • CSAZ June 2, 2016

Why? I’m white, my girlfriend is black and my best friend is asian. And so what? We all have respect for each others and there’s no question of “race” beetween us, what a shameful and disrespectful word to use for humans. Barriers are in your minds, just in your minds. Peace

      • Danzou June 2, 2016

Lol if barriers were in my mind then George Zimmerman would have been sentenced a long time ago. Sandra bland would never have been murdered. Neither would tamir. Aiyana either. What the f*** does your girlfriend being black and an Asian friend have to do with how white people have acted for nearly 500 f****** years now? F*** outta here.

      • CSAZ June 5, 2016

… I pity you sincerely. We must not generalize like that, all whites are not racist so don’t put them all in the same bag. I have NEVER disrespect a person of another pea color, sexuality or of a different religion and it’s not ready to start today. The past is gone, the future is now and right now you are talking to a white person who’s respecting you, how does it feel? You’re free to stay locked into your shackles and not evolve (in which case you are not better than these racist white) I’m white but I’m the only one here to stay polite, courteous and respectful. I’m white but I advocate peace between all peoples. I’m white and I’m not racist, what about you? The debate is open. And to answer your question, my girlfriend is with me because she is so much smarter than all these racist people, it’s all about the love and not the color. Don’t ask for respect if you have none to others, I respect you and you don’t but I’m white. Think about it.

  8. QueenDime June 2, 2016

I refuse to believe this, something just dosent seem right. Prince’s death along with others like MJ just dosent sit right and makes you question the truth that is obviously being covered. I feel as though while Prince life is being celebrated for his brilliance some folks are trying to tarnish his legacy with drug addict theories when he has never shown to have ever been under any influence. It wouldn’t surprise someday when Mimi leaves they’ll jump straight to the conclusion of alcohol overdose.

    • Stephon Jackson June 2, 2016

Same, something about him “overdosing” off of opioids, in a elevator, alone, in his house, seems fishy as hell. Just like with Whitney Houston and her daughter. It’s so fishy & strange how they mysteriously both died exactly the same way in a bathtub … I don’t believe Prince was a drug addict, not even in the slightest. Just doesn’t seem right at all… RIP Prince

      • OMG Logic!!! June 2, 2016

Whitney was a cocaine addict for over 20 years. How the hell is it suspicious that she finally died? Like what world do you people live in?

      • Danzou June 2, 2016

Whitney had quit cocaine nearly five years before her death. I believe she was downed. The only thing she had yet to quit was cigarettes. And even if, why are white people so quick to judge a black celebrity but always seem to reach for understanding for a white celebrity? Oh you didn’t notice that either huh?

    • OMG Logic!!! June 2, 2016

Refuse to believe that a celebrity got addicted to pain killers after hip surgery? People all around the world get addicted to them. Why are celebrities any different? If anything it’s easier for them because they have the means to get more of the drugs.

You conspiracy nuts need to get a reality check or a prescription for your untreated schizophrenia.

      • Danzou June 2, 2016

If you were black then you’d notice the pattern in the deaths of black icons and the type of s*** the media says about them afterwards. Nobody is being conspiracy nuts they’re just thinking for themselves and not letting the white led media headlines fool them.

    • Danzou June 2, 2016

      You’re SO RIGHT.

    • LadyS June 2, 2016

      Yes QueenDime I agree

  9. Blue June 2, 2016

Shocking!!! A celebrity dying from an overdose! Never!!!…oh wait.

    • OMG Logic!!! June 2, 2016

He’s Black though and, as we all know, if a Black celebrity dies it MUST be an inside job because Black people are immortal otherwise.

      • Danzou June 2, 2016

Omg logic please shut the f*** up. I’m so sick of u and your ignorant ass comments on the black community you stupid b****. No one is saying that every black death is an inside job and I think it’s really weird of you to perpetuate and insinuate that black people are that stupid. If it’s anybody fault that no one believes the media then it’s white people’s fault. Flat out. White people are the most known for lying and deceiving to get what they want. And we all know that the mass media is dominated by white people. Do the math p****.

      • Blue June 3, 2016

Did u read the ignorant things you r saying about the white community? Everybody lies, and like alot of White icons have died from drug overdose and the media reported on it too.

      • HALF AMAZIN June 3, 2016

        @Danzou
Why can’t you ever make your points without name calling or profanity. Your comment is a stereotype in itself. Think about that.

  10. BEYSTAN_ SINCE 1997 June 2, 2016

I figured OD was the cause. So sad all the greats are dying due to drugs! RIP Prince ☔️☔️☔️

  11. Auntie_Jackie June 2, 2016

NEXT. Legendary Prince is not tarnished by this IRRELEVANT news.

    • OMG Logic!!! June 2, 2016

I’d say it’s pretty relevant. The US Drug Administration needs to reign in how easily accessible these drugs are to people with money.

  12. cocobutta June 2, 2016

These entertainers get lured into the drugs lifestyle as feel it’s apart of the rock and roll life.

Hopefully it just changes for the better and to be fair its come a long way but still got a ways to go.

    R.I.P. Prince!
Lets remember our temples are not worth the drug people try lure you to ✊

    • Anne June 2, 2016

I don’t think it was a drug lifestyle issue for Prince, unlike others like Rick James or sadly Whitney. They may have started using drugs for partying or due to the rock and roll lifestyle, bit Prince showed no indication of participating in that. I think he just started using meds for pain and got hooked. Really sad.

      • cocobutta June 3, 2016

Yeah would say your right in Prince case hun.

  13. Rosie June 2, 2016

There’s a serious problem with people ODing on pain medicine that needs to be fixed. People are getting addicted to this stuff after being prescribed to doctors and maybe this and other incidents across the US will finally get the government to do something to stop doctors from overprescribing.
However I don’t believe he was an addict at all, and I do not want the media to use this to tarnish his legacy. RIP.

    • JOHNVIDAL June 2, 2016

With that I totally agree. Pharmaceutical industry is the wrost of the worst along some others like arms industry or meat and dairy industry.Instead of trying to make people realize prevention is the most important thing you could focus on, they are well happy of people falling ill and over prescribing like crazy. I´m from Europe, but in the USA it just looks like it is an alarming issue. The USA goverment trying to have its people´s health as a priority? Over all those companies which are the ones that really run the world and the money they make? Only in our wishes 🙁

      • Nobo June 2, 2016

You don’t purchase medications directly from a pharmaceutical company. You’re confusing sales with prescriptions. You can argue the cost of medications and place blame on pharmaceutical companies, which would be a global phenomenon even us physicians have complained about.

You also can’t link overdoses to the medical community. Patients are assessed and treated based on our professional judgement. Pain is one of the most subjective complaints we must treat. Unfortunately, you’re in the business of blame while we are in the business of doing what’s best for our patients.

      • JOHNVIDAL June 2, 2016

We are not confusing anything love. Pharmaceutical industry has its power, and they use it. We don´t know what type of doctor you are or from which country. But don´t tell me there isn´t overprescription issue in the USA because… 🙂 Not to emntion the main point of all is that goverments should fouc waaay more on prevention. Of course that would mean more people knowing truths, which in the end would mean less money for some of the most important industries in teh world. Goverments don´t run the worls, these companies and money do.

      • Nobo June 2, 2016

Save the gay eloquence and senseless terms of endearment for your circle of friends. I spoke in terms of westernized medicine. Obviously you’re speaking on subject matters you have little to no knowledge of. So, debating with me would be above your pay grade.

Understand the difference between pharmacies, medication manufacturers, and prescribers.

Oxycodone cost $.75 cent a pill. Fentanyl cost $.25 cent a pill, what incentives do you believe are obtained with that low cost margin?

If you’re going to be enraged and seek to reform and rally behind a cause, have your facts together.
        Conversation complete.

    • Nobo June 2, 2016

There are regulations in place that limit prescribing rights in the US. Example: all controlled substances are limited to 30 day prescriptions, 90 quantity, and must be a written signed order by a physician. Other drugs that are deemed black box warnings carry even stricter guidelines.

This isn’t a physician problem. It’s a patient/consumer problem. If you’re addicted and able to afford to physician hop, you will. You can be any more stringent without saying, all opioids or controlled substances must be administered in an acute care facility.

      Signed,
      Dr.Nobo

      • Slayty Perry (Prism’s 5 Billion Streams) June 2, 2016

Lol there are regulations in place to prevent drugs from entering the US from Mexico but they’re still here. Its clearly not that hard to get your hands on prescription drugs and manipulate the system. Do you know how many college students abuse prescribed adderal? How do you think they get it? Lol!

    • OMG Logic!!! June 2, 2016

The first intelligent post. Yes Prince got addicted after having his hip surgery, no it shouldn’t tarnish his legacy. Yes, addiction to pain meds is a serious issue.

  14. Black power June 2, 2016

I don’t believe this s*** for one second… At one point they were trying to say he secretly had the v****.. Something’s being covered up! Mark my words

    • OMG Logic!!! June 2, 2016

The National Enquirer doesn’t count as a news source. No one was saying he “had the v****.”

    • Danzou June 2, 2016

Yep I agree this is the work of white people once a damn gain.

  15. Dossome June 2, 2016

    🙁

  16. Coolness June 2, 2016

I was so heartbroken when The Associated Press released this statement a few hours ago ?. However, this news doesn’t sit well with my spirit at all. Prince wasn’t even dead for up to 24 hours but then you had people jumping the gun by reporting that he secretly had A**DS or something. I feel like something sinister is being done to tarnish his legacy which sucks because he simply never showed signs of being of ill health. Just goes to show you NEVER know what someone is dealing with in private. RIP Purple One ??☔️☔️.

    • Danzou June 2, 2016

No coolness you’re right. There’s white supremacy written all over this. EVERY huge black icon gets labeled a drug user after death. But for some reason there has rarely been any white icons dying since the new Millennium. And even if there has been, like David bowie for example, the media moves along. But when black icons die (i.e. rick james, Prince, Michael, James brown, Whitney, etc.) The only thing the cover in the media is drug usage. That’s fishy to me.

  17. Cinnamon Girl June 2, 2016

His close friends already knew this. He OD’d because he was terminally ill. RIP Prince

    • OMG Logic!!! June 2, 2016

No signs of s******. So no, he didn’t. It was just an OD. He wasn’t intending to die.

      • Cinnamon Girl June 2, 2016

Like I’ve told you folks on here before I know someone who worked for Prince for nearly 30 years. He was a heavy drug user and he was sick. Prince considered this woman family so I will take her word for it. I know some of you delusional folks love idolizing these celebrities but what you dumb dumbs fail to realize is that celebrities are human beings. Just because they’re rich and famous doesn’t immune them from lifes’ pitfalls. RIP Prince

    • Danzou June 2, 2016

Cinnamon shut yo stupid ass up. You don’t know no damn body cuz if ya did you wouldn’t be confined to that grape juice comment sections.

      • Cinnamon Girl June 2, 2016

You’re an ignorant buffoon. You think I care what you think?

    • Danzou June 2, 2016

And by the way overdosing doesn’t always mean that a person was addicted to something. Maybe he was too skinny? See how I used my brain to think of a different perspective? Try it some f****** time. Prince was a small guy. He could’ve easily take too large of a dose and may have been trying to get his dosage right. He was seen leaving CVS so EVIDENTLY HE WAS PRESCRIBED WHAT HE WAS GIVEN. Doctors don’t just hand out percocets.

  18. Slayty Perry (Prism’s 5 Billion Streams) June 2, 2016

Not sure why people are surprised. Addiction to painkillers is very common in the US, not just rich people either. We are a nation taught to take pills for everything. Got a headache? Take Tylenol. Rolled your ankle? Doctor prescribes you with heavy drugs. Need a tooth pulled? You’re pumped with drugs so you don’t feel a thing. Yall are claiming he never showed signs as if you knew him personally. Even if you did, addiction like this is pretty easy to hide, especially if you’ve been injured recently. Its not as destructive like cocaine or alcohol addiction. So have a seat with your “white man out to get us” theories. His legacy will remain unbothered as most artist, especially those from the 80s, died from drug abuse.

  19. Danzou June 2, 2016

Why is it that EVERY black legend seems to have died from overdose? I smell something fishy about that. I think our black icons are being murdered off. Michael was JUST about to go on a sold out tour why wouldn’t he be happy? On his “this is it” rehearsals he seemed just as lively and bashful as he’d always been. He also was being hunted by Sony for YEARS over the Beatles catalogue. Now all of a sudden Whitney is having her belongings auctioned? Holograms? Not even ten years after her death? These can’t just be ALL overdoses. Too good to be true. There is white supremacy written all over this.

    • Slayty Perry (Prism’s 5 Billion Streams) June 2, 2016

Girl take your tin foil hat off. Whitney’s estate was broke. Is it that surprising given how corrupt labels were back then? When has success ever equaled happiness? Plenty of successful people are depressed despite their success. You don’t know how he felt on the inside.

      • Danzou June 2, 2016

        Please sit down.

  20. Danzou June 2, 2016

Yall notice how white people still haven’t said anything about how Paul walker was dating an underage girl? Because when you’re white and you die the media doesn’t aim to tarnish you. And white people are trash for not speaking up against this. It’s not enough to just “not be racist” you have to speak up too. You can’t just ignore the s*** for the sake of not being labeled racist while your entire race is working to tear down POC.

  21. Slayty Perry (Prism’s 5 Billion Streams) June 2, 2016

Mess at people ignoring the serious pill problem America has by calling this a race thing! I am screaming at these theories!! So white people made his death drug related to tarnish his brand? What would they benefit from this? I am dying to hear lmao. The only time drugs tarnish a legacy is if they are consumed by it years before their death ie Elvis. MJ’s legacy wasn’t stained because of drugs but the entire court circus that went on. Whitney’s legacy was stained when she was alive and using. Her personal life was a hot mess. But is she not still considered The Voice? Miss me with this bs. As if Johnny Cash didn’t get dragged for being an alcoholic. As if Amy Winehouse didn’t get dragged for being an alcoholic. As if Curt Cobain didn’t get dragged for being a crackhead. Do not use race to cover over a serious issue here.

    • Stephon Jackson June 2, 2016

This legacy s*** is wack. We the people ain’t dumb. If you was a great musician/entertainer etc…., then we will recognize that. But, if you were a crazy person too. That will be recognize as well. I don’t know why people expect humans to have a picture perfect well respected life. Because that’s not reality. Especially, being in a satanic filled industry like the music business/hollywood.
      ====
And, I definitely agree with you on that drug issue. America is filled with drug addicts. And, the scary part is most aren’t because of street drugs… It’s actual legal pharmacy drugs……. Doctors are the biggest drug dealers in the USA

      • Cinnamon Girl June 2, 2016

Agreed. It’s frightening how stupid some of these folks are. They can’t accept the fact that Prince was a drug addict who committed s******

      • Stephon Jackson June 2, 2016

What was he “terminally ill” with? Like, what exactly was wrong with him???

      • Cinnamon Girl June 2, 2016

I’m just going to say this: Prince was dying from an illness and he knew it. His family doesn’t want the nature of his illness released to the public so I’m just going to leave it at that

  22. well well June 2, 2016

  25. Ace June 3, 2016

They were all killed.whitney was worth more dead than alive.clive davis was behind that. Michael was worth more dead than alive look at the money after death.prince was killed for exposing secrets of the industry and he knew it was coming just not when but he had to let people know. Yes he was a jehovah witness but still was controls by the illuminati for yrs thats why he had the word s**** written under his eye and changed his name.research.

  26. Thando June 3, 2016

Another addict junkie has killed themselves with opiates. All these people drowning themselves in poison when the world is their oyster. Stupid, stupid, stupid. MJ, Prince, Whitney were clearly people who had BIG problems
with drugs and are getting a pass because their celebrities. Unfortunately you can’t use racism as a “defense” against someone who clearly had a problem. They have the power and reach to acquire these drugs. Some of these drugs are used by CANCER patients, what kind of pain could you possibly in that a you would need the same pain killers as someone dying from cancer. His death is tragic but it he is at fault here for not seeking help with his very obvious problem with drugs. The idea that there’s a conspiracy against to paint black entertainers as junkies is absurd. Amy Winehouse, Kurt Kobain, were not black. There’s no correlation what so ever between race and drug use. Junkies are junkies. Get help if you are one, you can’t be blaming your addiction on an unsubstantiated conspiracy of racism against black entertainers. Plenty of black artists don’t do drugs anyway. And now their dragging doctors’ names into this as scapegoats for one person’s irresponsible dependence on opiates. Its ridiculous. America has a very wide and one of the best drug rehabilitation systems in the WORLD get help! The fact that Prince was Jehovah’s Witness has absolutely NO bases whatsoever because religious people use drugs ALL THE TIME so that argument is just stupid. There’s no conspiracy here, only irresponsible people being glorified for unhealthy behaviours because their big name celebrities! That’s the only truth.

  27. What Now June 3, 2016

I don’t believe this ignorant s*** for one second.
