Vic Mensa has his sights set on a major role – one of the purple variety.
The Chicago rapper declared he would be the ideal choice to portray Prince in a biopic.

Mensa made the claim during a resurfaced interview with Montreality. He cited his vocal ability and admiration for the late icon as key reasons for his confidence.
“I think I should play Prince in the biopic. Prince is one of my biggest idols of all time, and he’s the real King of Pop.”
He also noted his “mouthpiece” would help him embody the role.
“The reason why I’d be able to kill the role as Prince is because I got that mouthpiece, Prince was butter smooth with it and I feel like I could do it.”
Other artists have previously been asked about playing Prince on screen.
Years ago, Miguel declined the possibility, explaining that “Prince played Prince in a biopic… It doesn’t get any better than that.”
