It just shocks me how this album was so massive but the singles following the first are flops in comparison to let’s say “Someone Like You,” and “Set Fire To The Rain.”

I think its because she did not push them enough or so….But yeah, her singles are not smashing like 21 did. The CD is a hit. People already know these songs; When it dropped every song became a KNOWN single. She is DIAMOND; she can leave this CD where it is and it’s a classic….Rihanna and Beyoncé can only wish

Yes I’ve seen her live concert videos and Adele is crazy as hell and I love it. She reminds of Tamar in the sense of the music doesn’t match their personalities TO ME, JUST TO ME PPL (make that clear that it’s my opinion). Yes, u are also right. Everyone did jump on the badwagon of HELLO, but i that case, the song was actually worth it. Personally i still prefer 19 and 21 way over 25…especially 19 which i still think is her best album. But at the end of the say her tour is slaying and she is making a tonne of money from that and her album is also almost diamond, she is fine.

To be honest I think it’s hype of Adele, I don’t think the album is that good *don’t kill mee??
I fell in love with ‘Hello’ right away and I actually thought my first impression of Adele was wrong! I didn’t like ’21’ at all (the only song I appreciated was ‘Someone Like You’). I really thought that would change after ‘Hello’ and I remember thinking maybe I was just the last person to finally catch on! Once I heard ’25’, I realized I hated that album more than ’21’. Adele’s not a bad singer! I genuinely like her personality. She’s not even boring! It’s just that her music is dry! Every song I end up really liking from her (that came before this last album) always ends up being a track from ’19’!
‘Chasing Pavements’ (which is amazing) really moved me. I still play that song today! ‘Could Shoulder’ is pretty good too (TGJ actually put me on to that one). Still, for the most part, I can’t get into Adele! It’s no hate, but I truly believe Bey, Rih and Taylor will be around by 2025 and Adele won’t. Don’t get me wrong though, I don’t wish to see her fail.
Adult contemporary artists tend to not be so present in singles charts after the first few hits there. They are more REAL ALBUM sellers LOL People more present in singles charts for longer, especially nowadays, are ususally generic pop artists with upbeat songs. Celine Dion had hits and #1s singles wise but only a few, like Adele, but she just kept on selling unbelievable amounst of real albums. It´s not liek their focus is on having a #1 single at any cost. Unlike the tragic case that is Rihanna for example 🙂
