Over the course of Alicia Keys‘ illustrious career, the singer has routinely used her platform to promote worthwhile causes.

It’s a trajectory that continues with the premiere of new short film ‘Let Me In’ – which also features the star’s latest song ‘Hallelujah.’

The flick aims, in partnership with charity We Are Here, to raise awareness for World Humanitarian Day and support those fleeing to safety.

On the project, Keys said:

“I want us all to imagine if we were the refugees, if we were the ones torn from the arms of our families and loved ones. While some seek to stoke the flames of division and turn us against our fellow neighbors, we’re here to make the case for love and compassion. How would we feel if it were happening to us?”

Powerful and commendable.

Kudos to Ms. Keys.

I just can’t be bothered by Miss Boring Keys in 2016. Her pianist days atop for me are over. ?

Spoken like a true idiot, with no ear for good music. You probably applaud all the crap that’s out there today, see REAL Musicians, and REAL Music always win above propaganda and tricks. Alicia will go down in history as one the of the Best Musicians of our time, she is an Artist, a Musician, a Songwriter and Composer. Trying to down play her is trying to downplay music and musicians. Grow up. Great song. Great film.

You can’t be bothered by her raising awareness about important social issues that are happening in the world?

Btw how can you have the name MusicLife when you just insulted a musician and her craft? What is music to you?

Another faceless idiot troll on the net. Stupid. Can’t wait for the day technology allows for all trolls like you to be exposed.

I just love how positive she is – it’s truly inspiring. Alicia is one of those artists who can tell philanthropy is very close to her heart.

Alicia has been doing fantastic work this era! It deserves much more credit tbh. I’m ready for an album

Yes Alicia! Just yes! I love true artists so much.

  6. What Now June 20, 2016

She is doing all of the right moves, but it’s like the GP isn’t connecting to it. I think Alicia bringing the quality of her earlier albums is more important to her than a #1 song.

    Amazing

This story flips the script. It is a truly realistic approach as to what has already started in the world. Britain pulled out from the EU, why, they are tired of the Polish and other immigrants coming to their country, and taking their jobs. Sound familiar?

Did you read the comments on her propaganda film though? Apparently she doesn’t pay attention to international news, especially in Germany & Sweden.
