Katy Perry just set a new Twitter record when she reached 90 million followers on Friday, July 1. Twitter announced the huge milestone with a tweet.
When it comes to Twitter followers, Perry is well ahead of Swift, who has 79 million, and Justin Bieber, with 83.9 million. She even has more Twitter clout than President Barack Obama, who’s got 75.8 million followers.

She sure as hell slayed. That Stadium was PACKED to capacity. Word around is that there was more than 75,000 in attendance at the show. I’d love for her to get more people tomorrow.

Hmm. I wonder what direction she will go in with her next album. Seems like the other pop girls took the more “serious” route this go around I wonder if she’ll try that or stick with the basics.I’m interested to see if she’s grown as a artist since..but not to knock her. She has catchy bops.

I remember Prism was supposed to be her darker album but I felt it was still pop dominated though . I do like her ballads. My favorite ballad is “Thinking of You”. I respect a songwriter always. Some people still haven’t mastered that skill after 20 years in the industry.

But I’m glad that my fav wrote Survivor (from 4x Platinum album) and Independent Woman (11 weeks number one). And co-wrote 9 number one singles, again something that other local songwriter with no platinum albums failed to achieve in her 7/8 years number- oneless and grammyless career.
Hopefully, she will not go the depressed route. Lyrically, she def can go a more mature way, but being mature does not mean you have to sound depressed. 2016, at least for me, wasn’t that satisfying for me musically. As much as I enjoyed beyonce’s and rihanna’s albums this year, I missed the bops that i can work out to, listen to while running or simply listen to for drinking before going out…Ariana’s was the only one that had some bops and honestly, I hate that b****. So, please, katy – do the best you can and create a good pop Album. With that being said, don’t forget the Ballads. “Thinking bout you” and “the one that got away” are still great to listen to

Please, we all know that beyonce just changes one word in lyrics prepared for her to call herself a “writer” for that song… Doesn’t take away the fact that she is a great Entertainer and Singer, but lets not act as if she was that great of a songwriter, when she clearly isn’t
