Video Effect! Fergie Flies To #2 On iTunes With ‘M.I.L.F $’

Call is a comeback?

It’s certainly seeming so for Fergie!

Find out why below…

This week saw the Black Eyed Peas belter unleash comeback single ‘M.I.L.F $’ on the masses.

Its arrival comes on the heels of 2014 club jam ‘L.A. Love (La La)’ and 2006 solo album ‘The Duchess’ – which spurned multiple worldwide hits.

The busy banger polarized upon release, yet still managed to climb to #14 on US iTunes on the merit of the singer’s name.

However, the impact of its cameo friendly visual has gifted the Polow Da Don production quite the boost.

As at writing, ‘M.I.L.F’ sits at #2 on American iTunes – bested only by Justin Timberlake‘s seemingly unmovable ‘Can’t Stop The Feeling.’

The cut’s accompanying clip has amassed over 7 million views on VEVO in one tracking day. A feat which proves in earnest the power still present in the video format when used properly.

Enlisting the likes of Kim Kardashian and Ciara was also a stroke of genius too from a streaming standpoint. The latter being especially important for Fergie-Ferg in today’s gratingly ageist industry. Jury’s out on what radio’s reception to both her and the track will be, but with this out of the gate digital slay, one has to wonder how much (if at all) that side of things will matter.

Needless to say, its debut on the Billboard Hot 100 next week should be all sorts of interesting.

    I still can’t believe Fergie is 45yrs old ??????????????????

    • MusicLife July 3, 2016

      1975, 41 years old

      • Bitchpleaseeeeeee July 3, 2016

Yeah but still in her 40s though. I mean Bey is way younger but looks way older than Fergi isn’t it? ??

    • King Mark111 July 3, 2016

      I can. #ButHerFace

  2. BangBang July 3, 2016

I know right. They all look so good in that video.but Ciara looks amazing.

  3. MusicLife July 3, 2016

I’m shocked in a sense how quickly it stormed the top 10 on iTunes because I am not the fondest of the track and prefer “LA LOVE” sonically but congrats Ferg!

  4. ???????Chile, take this “Itty Bitty Piggy” to the market and make sure you hold her hand while crossing the street!??????? July 3, 2016

Ciara was the best looking one in that video, but I don’t like how she had to join Fergie in the “urban” scene just cause she’s black. Everyone knows Ciara is classy and far from what white America considers “ghetto/hood” to be.
Anyway, let’s see if this song’s iTunes position will translate the same on the Hot 100. The beat is way too confusing.

    • SailorMoon July 3, 2016

Thinking the same thing why she gotta be the token. Ciara is very suburban. She’s prolly the classiest one in the whole video but she gotta represent the hood cuz she black smh!

      • #JACKIE July 3, 2016

Ciara is still more URBAN than Fergie would ever be. Sit!

    • MusicFan103 July 3, 2016

Ciara is indeed classy but I mean all you have to do is look at “Oh” and “Ride” and see why she fits that scene more than Chrissy or Kim. Its not a diss, its just a fact and a plus because Ciara is more versatile than any other lady on the set. Instead of making it negative, realize its positive.

      • FAF July 3, 2016

I wasn’t offended Ciara is still a girl from ATL
She’s proud of it and very much hip-hop

  7. King Mark111 July 3, 2016

Ciara is so hot. I been playing her flopping discography and she have solid music. Just horrible career moves.

What check? Child’s support? Because you ain’t making money with 8% of 100k units each album.

      • #JACKIE July 3, 2016

What check?????? How about her modeling ëndörsëmëntš, live shows, hosting gigs, royalties, appearances? Child support is chump change to Cici. Gtfoh f**.

    • FC/JC July 4, 2016

Right, It was a unexpected surprise for me. Its a video so diff than everything else out, and for that alone, I applaud Fergie 7 the Directors.

      • Royalkev July 4, 2016

Exactly! I wasn’t even big on Fergie like that (although I loved the first album)! Fergie is just ready to bring it! Respeck! She did a good job with selling this one! I’ve watched M.I.L.F $ a couple of times now and it doesn’t get old!

This sh**t will tumble down the charts… Lol

  11. Rated R July 3, 2016

Am I the only one who thinks this is ” London Bridge 2.0 ” ? From the noisy production and sassy content , Fergie knows how to update herself without losing herself. Kudos

    • Meme July 4, 2016

I feel the same. It remind me so much London Bridge and went back and download it. Same producer, same type of produce and composition. And the vibe of the song and video is the same as well. Love it tho.

      • BEY>RIH July 4, 2016

The video reminds me more of fergalicous.

  13. FC/JC July 4, 2016

The video was Genius! I could see it going #1 on Billboard Hot 100. But her team must strike hard and promote and get that radio play while Justin TimberLATE doesnt have a video out. His song is so cliche and expected, Also Justins song sounds like everything else on pop radio.

    • CherylSoldierr July 4, 2016

What about kill em with kindness sis?

    • Sam July 4, 2016

He does have a video here in the uk. That annoying song just doesn’t stop playing.

  14. Cool July 4, 2016

The start of the video really favours ‘Papaoutai’ by Stromae.

  15. Justafan July 4, 2016

Well , at least she didn’t fall into the cliche hole of “let’s feature Nicki Minaj”

    • Geezus July 4, 2016

She’s on her album tho, hopefully the next single 🙂
