Fergie
‘s comeback quest continues – this time a-front of Paper Magazine.

The Black Eyed Peas singer is one of a number of notable names tapped to cover the publication’s September 2016 issue, which celebrates 1000 Beautiful People.

Beyond the fierce cover, Fergie-Ferg confirmed within her inside feature that her long-awaited sophomore album is indeed titled ‘Double Dutchess.’

She also remarked on the success of recent single ‘M.I.L.F $.’

Her words await below…

“I’ve never gone viral before! My video has 70 million views — what the hell is that?!”

In the time since the interview was conducted, the clip (which features Ciara and Kim Kardashian) has picked up another 20 million views – bring its total to over 90 million.

Clearly, there’s interest.

We just don’t get why she’s not pulling the trigger.

Like ‘L.A Love (La La)’ in 2014, there’s been next to no promotion for ‘M.I.L.F’ beyond its video. Although, we’re not mad at that. Simply because, despite its viral success, ‘M.I.L.F’ as a song is just not that deserving.

In any case, fingers crossed the album materialises before the year’s end.

Your thoughts?

Fergie’s comeback continues? Sam STOP! know you love to root for the under dog but, Fergie is over as a solo artist. The only way people would even remotely check for her if The Black Eyed Peas get back together. Those 70 million Vevo views will not generate album sales or sold out shows!

She taking to long to release anything that’s her problem her label is really sleeping on her I really do miss black eye peas group hopefully her new album comes out before the end of the year.

Her team better wake up and strike…. Like why wasnt she performing at the VMA’s????

  4. D August 29, 2016

I agree why didnt she perform at the vma
This year that would’ve been dope and a surprise album drop.
    Her label is playing.
But then she might didn’t want to release around the same time as brittany spears.
    Idk we’ll see.

Fergie just gets lost in the sauce…when Fergie (solo) was popping, Katy and Gaga were one year away from success…Britney had cooled down, and Nelly Furtado, Gwen and Bey (as always) were hot…Taylor was a year away from doing country…female rap was nonexistent…well, THANGS HAVE CHANGED…anything Fergie can do, Nicki WILL do lol…she tries to sing, Adele will put her foot on her neck lol….Katy is QUEEN of sugar pop…Gaga is ‘deep’ pop…Britney is robotic melodic…Gwen has vacant seats on lock…Swift is singer-songwriter pop…Bey is KING, and she even raps too…Ariana has R&B melodic pop…Fergie just isn’t needed.

I didn’t even mention SLAYhanna! She been killing it since Fergie was hot…Fergie has to WORK lol

  7. LOL August 29, 2016

LOL SORRY FERG. THIS IS RIHANNA’S WORLD NOW.

  8. Theman August 29, 2016

Your analysis is stupid because all of those artists have different styles. Fergie just needs that one hit song.

    • Fancy BISH August 29, 2016

Not bringing NOTHING to the table…lol…we’ll see what that hit song sounds like…and WHO it sounds the most like…

Honestly the VMAs would have been the only award show I could see a live televised performance of “M.I.L.F. $” too bad Interscope didn’t lock that down. I want the album to come out within two weeks since it will be 10 years since the debut album was released.

Come thru Fergie, we are waiting.

Why the hell would someone wait an entire decade to release their second album after the first was a success. Makes no sense.

  11. Theman August 29, 2016

Also, this song isn’t really single worthy. It’s more of a buzz or throwaway single.

    • Fancy BISH August 29, 2016

10 years for a throwaway single…SCREAMING! Fergie, this isn’t Detox boo boo lol

DEATH FergieFerg really thought she was coming for the gurl’s wigs when she dropped Milf$, only for it to be forgotten after a week! Mess, Mess, MESS!!!!

When is she going to release the album album? This new trial at a comeback single went better than teh first one, at least for a few days. I don´t know why she is waiting more and more. She´s not going to find a true hit single. She was “hot” for teh charts 10 years ago and didn´t have the mosnter success or respect to secure big success decades later. Just no. If she truly loves music and her artistry then she should release her damn album no matter what. It comes to a time when if you are talented enough, at least you have that and can keep having a decent career even if you´re not slaying the charts. What I´m not too sure of is if Fergie is as big of a real artist to keep goibng like that. Seriously, her case and Usher´s lately has been a little bit wtf. At least Gwen finally released hers. And it didn´t went that bad when it comes to first week sales.

She knows a viral video does not equal actual music sales. Her single flopped in regards to charting. The video got views because it had a ton of known names in it, and that it. The song is terrible! Also, she has no business sense and needs massive direction. I dont see it happening for her again like it did back in the day.

Her stans have been saying Fergie is coming to slay for like two years now. I’ve yet to see it happen….
