Singer-songwriter Sevyn Streeter sprung a surprise on fans moments ago with the early release of new single ‘Prolly.’

Initially due tomorrow, the Gucci Mane assisted cut was launched early…by Sevyn herself.

Writing on Twitter, she said…

I told yall I appreciate the heck outta yall…is my team goin to be mad for releasing it early?…iono #prolly ?

After a slew of EPs, mixtapes, and early triggers, ‘Prolly’ is the first official taste of Sev’s debut album.

Tuck in below…

As appreciators of cuts such as ‘I Like It’ and ‘It Won’t Stop,’ we’ve long loved Sevyn in the Pop-Urban playground.

Listening to this though, it’s more than apparent that she’s “giving the people what they want” by catering to the gritty and minimalist movement that’s all the rage these days. It’s a wise move – especially the Gucci Mane feature.

We just hope that’s there’s more vocal, melodic, and lyric driven material on the way from Ms. Streeter too.

I need more of an “I Like It” “Call Me Crazy” sound from her not feeling this.

    • Credits August 11, 2016

I’m with you! If you’ve heard her songs “just being honest” “shoulda been there” “next” and “boomerang,” you can hear that she is classic r&b–not this trap infused sound.

      • The Infinite One August 12, 2016

        ????????
I’ve tried to ride with her but I can’t get down with this. She has a good voice but she’s wasting it on this hood ratchet ish that only Beyonce can pull off and make sound polished. She needs to back away from Chris Brown and find her own sound or will she fizz out?.. Prolly

      Krystal is better.

      • Becky August 12, 2016

Yeah that’s why she returned to a girl group of the age of her daughters.

  2. ???????Chile, take this “Itty Bitty Piggy” to the market and make sure you hold her hand while crossing the street!??????? August 11, 2016

“Don’t Kill the Fun” is such a cute track. It’s a shame that it didn’t tale off on radio like it was expected. I hope she can eventually break into the U.S. and U.K., though.

Obliterate my edges Sevyn! Not my two faves trying to drag me tonight!!

    • Andrew August 12, 2016

How do you manage to be a fan of two flop chicks at the same time?

  4. Lake Erie August 11, 2016

I’m feeling this!! The beat goes, that’s for sho.. Push this Seyvn!! Perfect way to end the summer idk #Prolly

  5. Rihboy August 11, 2016

Ki. Yes you better be inspired!!!’ Unfortunately trap is making its way back out. Not feeling it. Wanted a sleek r&b/dance cut.

    • RihYonce August 11, 2016

Trap isn’t going anywhere honey . Trap isn’t a fad it’s been around for over a decade & a lot of people love especially when it’s incorporated into R&B the right way

    • Rihboy August 11, 2016

Trap is a fad. Has not been around that long. Furthermore trap is good when it’s done right. This song is uber forgettable. Kudos to attaching Gucci to the song to give it some sort of authenticity, however his release from jail has expired trend wise. It’s not good enough to make any type of impact on radio. It will simmer away like party favors by tinashe which is actually one of my favorite songs.

      • Jamie August 11, 2016

Uh….yes it has been around for that long if not longer…TIPS Trap Music was released when? Trap has only evolved a bit more.

  6. #JACKIE August 11, 2016

    Flop….

    • The Infinite One August 12, 2016

I love you #Jakie!!! But please let’s not pass out flop cards until Cairo gets off her husbands unleashed pony and makes a huge wave on the charts. It just makes you seem delusional dear. And that avi pic you have of Cairo looking like a deer in headlights says it all ?

That’s what they will say when the next cierror album drops

      • Casual-T August 12, 2016

I assume your memory is so on point to remember nicolas pershinger

      • Slayriah Carey/Nicole Slaysinger >>> your fave August 12, 2016

lol that don’t even count, that was only released in the uk. Ciara always has her albums released in the us, there is no reason for ciara to flop all the time!

Other than her lack of vocal talent that is!

  7. Jacob August 11, 2016

So here for this, coulda delt without the Gucci ft. But the beat and vocals are fire. It’s been a long wait since don’t kill the fun, 4th street. Slayyy gurl

  8. FC/JC August 11, 2016

My GIRL! I love this, i cannot wait to purchase her album, I want to see this girl go far!

  9. RihYonce August 11, 2016

I love Trap & B. But I didn’t really like this song idk…..maybe it will grow on me

  10. eric August 11, 2016

This is awful. The song isn’t even saying anything. I still think Aaliyah, Static and Tim made the best team when it came to r&b and hip-hop from a woman’s point of view. Sevyn can go away with this song.

  11. #justsayn August 11, 2016

    Not single worthy to me…

  12. chileplease August 11, 2016

I’ve been waiting for her to come out with something else for the longest. This is not it. But I’m still ready for the album.

  13. Tim Brown August 11, 2016

How ha team going to be mad…sis aint even got buzz right now…smh

  14. Mark111 /.\ August 11, 2016

I remember saying that Tinashe’s light skin will get her out faster, but not further than 7. Her first EP was really good, but that was in 2013 or 2012. How long are you going to work on this 1st album? This song is a buzz, but hell, all the other songs were too.

    • Credits August 12, 2016

And it’s a shame because I can pick out 12 songs from each of her EPs combined and put them together to make an incredible debut album.

  15. Molly #TheMostRelevantBitch August 11, 2016

She reminds me too much of Kellz

  16. ow Reddish tran ivy blobukz Need UK timely Ukuyiji August 11, 2016

    Nice song

  17. TeamKeysh August 12, 2016

It kills me that this “society” can never accept CHANGE and NEW things…why would you suggest an artist stick to the sound of their FIRST single(s)? There’s no growth in that. SN: Artists don’t make music to please ungrateful ass critics who don’t even PURCHASE the music but swear they know how it should be produced ??? tf outta here!

  18. trose August 12, 2016

Def A grower. Sam You know damn well Miss seven is going to serve vocals aplenty on that album you need not fret, unfortunately SANGIN on singles isn’t what sells these days so i get this release. Very hard hitting, trap, current and fun. With the right video, chores, and promo it could catch on IT DEF GIVES ME A distant cousin of her song boomerang. HOWEVER am i the only one that thinks it is CRIMINAL for her not to had released “CONSISTENT”. Now that was a TUNE. That would have made the perfect 1st single especially with the right rap feature. My only qualm with this track is i would’ve liked something with a little more tempo ala “Consistent” so we could see her get down on the dance floor. But I will gladly take this, will this be the hit to sell Miss Streeters album? …iono #Prolly

  19. Sassoon August 12, 2016

Love Sevyn, but this ain’t it. *sigh*

  20. brazio August 12, 2016

This is don’t like..I do think this trend has faded…time to move to a new sound

  21. 4everBrandy_Ci August 12, 2016

The record is cool. Sevyn Streeter has her own lane. The single has to cater to the urban audience. For people that don’t support her that’s fine. I don’t understand how people want to talk about these artists careers as if they support them when they don’t. The bottom line is she’s one of the talented artist that has been carving out her own style and lane for a few years. Tinashe and herself are authentic artists but a few ignorant people don’t want to see that.

  22. No favs, just here for the music August 12, 2016

No. This is one of those songs that try to be cool but it’s really cheesy and corny

  23. Slayriah Carey/Nicole Slaysinger >>> your fave August 12, 2016

    Yikes!

I thought this girl had some potential!

    Next

  24. Slayriah Carey/Nicole Slaysinger >>> your fave August 12, 2016

Silly me, why did I even have faith in a girl who was affiliated with chrisy browny to have any potential!

She has a few good songs, but until she stops messing with chris I can’t rock wit her.

Real artists don’t affiliate with douchbags like that sack of untalented s***.

I thought this girl maybe had something but probably not, I give up on her after this trash. She has an okay voice, but she just doesn’t really care about making good music.

Kehlani is probably the only newer female singer with any potential, all the rest of these people (tinashe too) aren’t doing anything mind-blowing or great, none of them have great voices/music.

Will be a hit in the clubs and strip clubs.

Slow twerks and open spread leg upside down on the pole moves.
