Sorry Britney, but this time all the “glory” goes to Jennifer Lopez.
The actress/fashion maven/songstress may have had her fair share of misses on the charts over the last few years, but when it comes to her critically acclaimed run in Las Vegas, she’s clearly hit a homerun.
As the weekend saw her conclude the first leg of ‘All I Have’ – her hit residency at Planet Hollywood (named after her 2002 LL Cool J-assisted hit of the same name) – early box office receipts are showing the run is ending on quite the high note. In fact, figures indicate she’s headed toward history books.

All I Have, J-Lo’s headlining show at the Axis at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, earned over $1 million in box office revenue on August 13 [alone]. This means that it beats out previous record-holder Britney Spears and her Piece of Me residency for the show with the most ticket sales in one night.
The Las Vegas Review Journal reports that All I Have marks the first show within the Caesars Entertainment property to top Spears’ previous one-night record with Piece of Me, which launched on December 27, 2013, becoming Planet Hollywood’s highest-grossing show to date.
Congratz are due to Lady Lopez! Now, let’s roll on to this new album!

I find it a little odd how she broke the record mid run. If it was her first couple shows or last one I’d believe it but changing ticket prices and payola can manipulate sales, capacity, everything these days. Watch the gross figures for her following show free fall. If I’m wrong congratulations.

It’s not really that hard to believe, she has the favor of the public. And be real here, no body wants to see Britney lip-sync and attempt to dance and no body wants gamble on Mariah for she is hit and miss these days. It makes sense, Britney’s “Piece” of Me Show would garner less than Jlo’s show that gives “All” She has!
Who are they trying to fool? The most successful thing ever in Vegas is Celine Dion and for a good reason. The amount of sold out shows for way more than a decade has been crazy. Especially her extremely long first show which started in 2003 (I think) until 2007 (I think). That show was the most spectacular ever.
