What happens when two of R&B’s most celebrated voices join forces?  ‘The King and Queen of Hearts Tour,’ that’s what.

Headlined by R&B vet Maxwell and Queen of Hip Hop Soul Mary J. Blige, the duo sent fans into a frenzy today when they announced they are set to hit the road on a 24-show North American trek.

Kicking off November 5 in Baltimore, the Live Nation-produced tour will feature stops in New York, Memphis, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami, and more.  But, before U.S. fans are treated to live renditions of some of R&B’s most memorable hits from the last 20 years, European fans will receive the royal treatment in October.

    I might check this out.

  2. TerryB September 7, 2016

Yes! A Chicago date! I’m going.

  3. Dem Lessers September 7, 2016

If the London dates are under £18, I’ll come. Who’s Maxwell though?

    • Danzou September 8, 2016

I wouldn’t expect a Britney Stan to know who maxwell is nor any other actual vocalist.

      • Yoncé The Great September 8, 2016

        Kii

Will Mary stay on pitch? Will Maxwell come out as the queen he is? Will these two ever stop being irrelevant? Answer to all is a polite No.

    • Danzou September 8, 2016

Just cuz yo gay ass chose to come out as a queen getting your ass blown out doesn’t mean all the men you’re attracted to are f*** too. Instead of worrying about Mary being on pitch let’s talk about your test result punk. This is why people can’t stand some gays. Yall think so messy sometimes.

      • Weaveney September 8, 2016

You must be Mary’s vocal coach, the way you going off! Lol!

      • Weaveney September 8, 2016

And rather than forget, I’d like to point out Mary’s c*** behaviors rather than ignore them. The gays think messy, yet other Negros like to forget about their faves’ problematic behaviours and pass that off as “STANNING”. Uh ok.

    • Diego September 8, 2016

Irrelevant people don’t tour arenas hater u jealous Mary been round 25 years. And still doing big shows lol

      • Weaveney September 8, 2016

Yes, I’m so jealous of the half-empty arenas that’ll ensue.

    • Holden September 8, 2016

Don’t take it out of other people because you’re a loser. That wasn’t anyone else’s choice but yours.

      • Weaveney September 8, 2016

Honey, I’m expressing an opinion. Just because I’m not kissing their asses doesn’t mean I’m a hater. And is anything I said untrue? I’ll wait.

    • Diego September 8, 2016

A hater wishes for someone’s downfall Mary is a superstar never sold S** stayed true to rnb and sold 70 million albums plus singles 8 multiplatinum albums now another. Arena tour u seem mad at her success where’s ya favorite at cause billboard named Mary most sucessful rnb female last 25 years u are irrelevant hater ????

Mary is the Queen of R&B for 20+ get over it

  6. Del September 8, 2016

Max and MJB, two R7B titans! I’m sure it will be a good show.

  7. Danzou September 8, 2016

Proud of them. Let’s see if adele fat ass will be this relevant over two nearly three decades from now. Or Britney. Or Katy. Or Taylor. Or any other basic white act.

    • Cocoa September 8, 2016

Well I’d cross Britney off that list, she’s been out for about 25 years if you count the Mickey Mouse club.

    • Dem Lessers September 8, 2016

You tried with that Britney shade, my girl has active before I was born and I’m approching mid 20’s now. Do your research first you closet fāg!

  8. MUSICHEAD September 8, 2016

What happened to the R.Kelly & Mary J King & Queen tour? Oh well…I’m not interested in seeing this show but I’m sure it will do well.

  9. Dawn September 8, 2016

THEY NEED TO HAVE FANTASIA OPEN UP THE SHOW!!!

    • Weaveney September 8, 2016

But the role of “Screeching off-pitch harpy” has already been filled by Mary…?

  10. Coolness September 8, 2016

Good for them. I think I recall reading something about Mary doing a joint tour with R. Kelly (or was it an album?). That never came into fruition but despite the latter’s tarnished image, I believe he would have been a better fit as their respective catalog of hits are neck and neck with each other. Maxwell, on the other hand, has smaller, albeit quality output. I’m sure it’ll be a great show.

  11. daclassyman November 27, 2016

I caught the show in Charlotte

Everyone loved the show, but I think Maxwell should come on before MJB

Mary performance was so great….Maxwell is a great singer, but he couldn’t substain the level or that high that MJB left.

    Great show overall!
