Rihanna Reveals ‘Love On The Brain’ Single Cover

Published: Friday 9th Sep 2016 by Sam

Rihanna‘s ‘ANTI’ clean-up campaign continues.

Once plagued by dire delays, the set’s main aim is accumulating respectable sales to sit next to its successful streaming stats.

In a bid to achieve said goal, the Bajan belle has lined up ‘Love On The Brain’ as the LP’s latest single.

With a video due soon, the 28-year-old revs up the tried and true hype engine with the reveal of the song’s cover.

Check it out below…

The critically praised ballad is the fourth ‘ANTI’ song to receive the single treatment.

‘Work’ wowed with 9 weeks at #1 on the Hot 100, while ‘Kiss It Better’ could only manage a #62 peak. Third effort ‘Needed Me’ fared better with a #7 bow.

Based on that trajectory, it’s anyone’s guess how ‘Love’ will perform.

Is it a hit or miss?

  2. Keri Qween September 9, 2016

Clean up campaign for her 2x platinum album that still has two top ten songs currently on Billboard Hot 100 and a album that has been top 10 for 8 whole months? Oohh okay ?✋??

Anyways one of the bessttt songs on ANTI im just surprised she waited this late to release it. Her live performance of this song actually made me like it more

  3. #JACKIE September 9, 2016

It will flop and the video will be low budget.

    • Yellow Diamonds September 9, 2016

It’s mad Ciara is never a topic of conversation. ATleast rihanna is putting out music and video lol not bathroom snap chat auditions

      • #JACKIE September 9, 2016

    • Nigeria loves rihanna September 9, 2016

Just like ciara-and-russell-wilson-engaged marriage will flop very soon

  7. IStan4Rihanna. September 9, 2016

    This is fantastic!

I don’t want her to send this song radio just yet as “Needed Me” is still strong, as is “This Is What You Came For”, and I don’t want it to get overshadowed in any way, shape or form. “S** With Me” better receive the single treatment sometime in November (though now would have just as great a’ time also) as it’s success already needs no explanation.

    Come on, Queen!

    • Cupid September 9, 2016

S** with me won’t receive single treatment. Too many stations already have it in rotation. It will have died out by the time they release it as a single

  8. meme September 9, 2016

That’s our queen! RihRih better come thru with the visuals this time. Love on the brain video didn’t live up to the song quality so Im going to really need her to take it there. This song has the potentials to be one of her most classic in here legacy. I need some dramatic/edgy/creative visuals to match.

P.S whoever writes for this blog is so distasteful. Rihanna had one of the most successful and critically acclaimed albums this year weather you agree or not. DEAL!

  9. wayno September 9, 2016

    Here comes #15
this will be her 11 #1 since Beyonce’s last #1. DOMINATION is not always on stage… oops

    • ByeJay September 9, 2016

If Beyoncé wanted to do radio deals, payola, and put in the actual effort she could lol

      • iSpeakTruthNoFallacy September 9, 2016

She HAS! Formation, Sorry, and now Hold Up have had radio deals and that sh*t is non-existant on the radio. The straight kids don’t care about no damn lemonade.

      • America’s Most Wanted ~ Tyler September 9, 2016

If the kids don’t care about Lemonade, then why has it outsold AUNTIE?

      • iSpeakTruthNoFallacy September 9, 2016

Tyler get hooked on phonics. The key word is straight. Plus that album was completely front loaded. Furthermore since I have your attention Tyler, would you like to address the fact that Yonce spent 25 million on a movie to premier her album, yet it had 33% less first week sales than her previous album? Why is that? Fill me in…

      • America’s Most Wanted ~ Tyler September 9, 2016

Hold up! Stop the track, let me state FACTS…
B****, can you please elaborate on why Lemonade has sold more in ACTUAL sales than AUNTIE or nah? While you’re at it, explain why Lemonade is currently sitting at #7 on the Billboard 200 while Auntie is sitting at #9. You claim that nobody cares about it. So enquiring minds are dying to know……

      • iSpeakTruthNoFallacy September 9, 2016

Tyler let’s talk about how your fave has seen a 30% decrease in sales compared to her last album meanwhile Rih has increased since hers. Let’s talk about how she hired Olivia Pope and associates of radio producers yet STILL can’t get a hit. Let’s talk about how NONE of them sugar gutter songs can’t crack the top 10 and Gaga is about to do that. Mariah Carey has a better chance of topping the charts now… ?☕️

      • America’s Most Wanted ~ Tyler September 9, 2016

Celine Dion and Barbara Striesen’s albums had better opening numbers than AUNTIE #460. Their fans actually BUY their albums, dont need any assistance from Samsung. Better yet, let’s talk about how every mainstream album released this era has outsold Rihanna’s
        Justin Beibers album > auntie
        The list goes on…..

  10. MALUCE September 9, 2016

Leave Beyoncé out of it. There’s absolutely no competition. Their names shouldn’t even be used in the same sentence. MTV PROVED who the real MVP is.

    • BEYSTAN_ SINCE 1997 September 9, 2016

      Ding ding ding??????

    • SMH September 9, 2016

They sure did. It was all about Rihanna that night.

      • America’s Most Wanted ~ Tyler September 9, 2016

YET MTV allowed another artist ( beyonce) perform a 15 minute and 43 second set on what was SUPPOSED to be “Rihanna’s night” *sips lemonade*

    • candy September 9, 2016

Yet MTV put both Rihanna and Beyonce on the same stage, Yet MTV put Rihanna and Beyonce performances on the same paragraph as the night best for 2016 VMA awards (and other outlet and blogs as well). Yes many can say that Beyonce was the best performer that night, but right next to Beyonce performance was Rihanna performance as the second best of that night. Also MTV gave Rihanna the same Michael Jackson award they gave to Beyonce, the list goes on, on on. So is not only the Navy putting Rihanna as the best next to Beyonce, but so are the media and many other outlets that covers both. Honestly both Beyonce and Rihanna are great in their own way. I will never understand why the Behive and Navy like going back and forth with arguing on this blog.

  11. JuJu September 9, 2016

YAAAAASSSSSS Q U E E N of EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!! That Rihanna Reign Aint gon let up!

  12. BEYSTAN_ SINCE 1997 September 9, 2016

Blah… “S** with Me” should have been the next official single. That song is the business!

  13. iSpeakTruthNoFallacy September 9, 2016

Love On The Brain is my favorite song off of ANTI. Although I’m not a fan of doo-wop, the passionate ballad stole my heart. Now, she needs to give a vibrant video and not that boring black and white crap like she did in Kiss It Better (even though it’s one of my favorite videos from her). Make the song come alive and heavily service urban radio. If she plays her cards right, this can a hit that will always be remembered.

  14. well well September 9, 2016

not bad. that damn eyebrow pic tho. lol

  15. Josh September 9, 2016

Most favorite on Anti. Hope it becomes popular!

  17. Blue Ivy Rod September 9, 2016

I hope they rerecord the song so the Single can sound more like how she sings it now.

  18. Datredd23 September 9, 2016

She is coming after Madge’s top 10 record!

  19. J-Mar September 9, 2016

Hate the song love on the brain is my least favorite song on the album everything else I like what she has released kiss it better is my favorite from the album.

  20. RihYonce September 9, 2016

Yes Queen ! Definitely my favorite song on the album . Can’t wait for the video . I hope SWM gets a video & single treatment.

And this is where who you stan for is irrelevant and being objective means you can give credit where it’s due. Despite all Rhianna’s inconsistency with delivering her craft this one live performance shows artistic growth both vocally and in her live rendition. And this is why people go in on her – how can she deliver this well and then phone in other live performances and expect nobody to comment. If she put this much effort in her craft she’s be streets ahead in credibility as an artist.

    • Blue Ivy Rod September 9, 2016

I agree with you, i think half of it was her persona (image) and the other half is nerves, now I believe she is more confident in her singing abilities and it shows very much when she is connected to a song. Hopefully she keeps up the momentum

      • Haters Gon’ Hate September 9, 2016

I think you’re right – what’s clear in that live video is that is connecting with that song, you can’t fake that – she feelinin it so the viewer and listener Feelin it too

    • candy September 9, 2016

I understand what you are saying, but I think maybe Rihanna does not want to be perfect even on stage. I think she want to be the star that has flaws, so even if she does bad on stage she take it as being human with flaws. I would love for someone to ask her why she sometimes sounds amazing live and sometimes don’t, would love to hear her take on it. Anyways I believe she can definitely be perfect like Beyonce on stage if she wants. She has the money and the power to do exactly that. However I think she has to use some trickery to be a perfect performer on stage all the time. To my believe no one is capable of giving perfect vocals with each and every performance, you will sound off sometimes especially if you are using your vocals a lot (example Alicia Keys who has been judge for sounding strain and pitchy at times, Jennifer Hudson who has been judge for screaming live, and many more that I can’t think of). Also to me no one is capable of dancing and having perfect vocals on stage each and every time without any help or trickery (well expect for beyonce which I highly question, but who cares she want to be seen as that perfect star so). (Example janet, Michael, Jennifer Lopez, and many more, who lip-synce as they dance to avoid sounding bad on stage), so no one can do it all everytime without any human mistake. I believe every great performer finds a trick that works for them so they can avoid that human mistake that bonds to happen if they perform live all the time without help. If we use our common sense we would know that they are human just like us so no matter how amazing they are, mistake will happen if they decide not to use any help or trickery when performing live. As for Rihanna I believe she doesn’t want to use any trickery to be a perfect performer, because she doesn’t mind being flawed. As we all know sometimes her vocals can be so amazing and sometimes those vocals will give up on her, like no b**** not today lol. However when ever she stand there and sings, she sounds amazing, but when she moves a lot her vocals will sound bad. Anyways to me at least I know she is human and as a human being things ain’t gonna work out perfectly all of the time(unless you are Beyonce “wink”).

  22. stan September 9, 2016

The song is amazing, it deserves to smash.

  23. Barb B**** September 9, 2016

I’m sorry but her vocals are strained try hard mess on this track. I don’t see it doing well. Her fans aren’t used to soul.

  24. Tori September 9, 2016

I LOVE the single cover, I’ve loved all her single covers this era, the album cover and art is atrocious. Also, the live performances of the song is great though the album cut is unbearable. She does this song and Diamonds so good, I almost want to be a fan.
