Michel’le’s ratings rocking Lifetime biopic has given birth to a new contract set to reintroduce her gift to the masses.

Acknowledging her forays into Film, Music and TV, ThinkFactory Media has signed an overall deal with the singer which will spawn an autobiography, new movies, television shows and an album set for release in January.
Reignited by her starring role in Phil Thornton‘s ‘R&B Divas’, Toussant’s career has now found supporters in several songwriters keen to help the singer tell her story through song.
One of these is Midian Mathers, one of the writers behind Beyonce’s ‘Sandcastles.’

I’m SO glad to see this woman get her due. Public Enemy were a huge at the time, but it was Michel’le who had access to the pop charts. No More Lies was a top 10 Hot 100 smash, and Nicety made reached the top 30 as well. It amazes me that Michel’le is more remembered today for Something in My Heart than No More Lies. For anybody interested, check out the 80s classic Before You Turn Off the Lights by World Class Wrecking Crew. It features Michel’le, and it was one of the first rap records to feature a vocalist on the chorus.
