Azealia Banks has been called a liar by sources close to Russell Crowe who claim she invented the incident she says went down at a party she attended last week.
The gifted rapper claims she was tossed out of the party by Crowe himself before he spat at her and called her a n******.
Problematic, as it mirrors an incident Crowe was involved in with black members of the New Zealand Warriors.
Full story below…
According to eyewitness accounts the trouble started when Azealia laughed out loud at Russell’s music selection, and then called him and at least one other guest, “boring white men.” We’re told a female guest jumped to Russell’s defense and suggested Banks pipe down.
Instead, we’re told she made an insane speech/threat to Crowe and the woman …”You would love it if I broke my glass, stabbed you guys in the throat, and blood would squirt everywhere like some real Tarantino s***.” Then for good measure, witnesses say she dropped a few n-bombs … yet Crowe remained surprisingly calm.
We’re told Azealia reached for her glass, cocked it back … and that’s when Russell had enough — he grabbed her in a bear hug and carried her out of the suite. He then called hotel security guards who removed Azealia from the grounds.
Four eye witnesses support Crowe’s side of the story.
Alas, that’s done little to silence those who question the authenticity of the actor’s pals.
In 2002, the actor arrived at the Japanese restaurant Zuma in London where he spotted members of the New Zealand Warriors rugby team.
Once there, Crowe is said to have hurled cruel insults at the team’s black members by referring to them as “darkies.”
This enraged the team’s millionaire manager Eric Watson and a fight broke out when he stood up to the ‘Gladiator’ actor to defend his players.
He was questioned by police but faced no charges.
