The praise continues to rain on Solange following the release of her new album ‘A Seat At The Table,’ and now it looks as if the songbird will reign atop of the US album chart.

Full story below…

Early projections had the critically acclaimed LP on course for a top 3 placing on the next iteration of the Billboard 200.

With a ballpark figure of 47,000-51,000 (SPS), the set was presented as battling it out with Bon Iver‘s new offering and Drake‘s omnipresent ‘Views’ for the coveted top spot.

However, according to Hits Daily Double, word of mouth has seen Solo soar into the pole position.

Still atop of the pack digitally, will the project keep its ‘Seat’ when the final numbers are tallied or will its lack of physical units create way for a steal by the competition?

Stay tuned!

The Irony, when the comment below shows you doing nothing but using Bey’s sister to Hate and Bash on her.

      • Marley October 5, 2016

        Exactly…..

      • BOOBIE October 6, 2016

@HailLegendBeysus ummm there’s no irony or hate…I like this album better than I like Beyonce it’s an opinion, moron

      • Amerikkka’s Most Wanted ~ Tyler October 6, 2016

You still sound like a stupid hypocrite

    • Marley October 5, 2016

How can you hate someone you don’t know personally?…. That’s makes no sense

  3. BOOBIE October 5, 2016

    Better than Beyonce

    • Chile Please!!! October 5, 2016

Amen…about time somebody besides me said & thinks this. Solo album actually has substance & meaningful songs….other than Thiefyawnce that had to make a rachet ozz album with a bullshyt storyline about infidelity that might not have even been true. SMH!

  4. ???????Chile, take this “Itty Bitty Piggy” to the market and make sure you hold her hand while crossing the street!??????? October 5, 2016

I’m so proud of Sol-Angel on this accomplishment. It’s truly a blessing to witness two black sisters from different perspectives in regards to a common theme represented through their music be so well received by the general public. I’m sure Bey’s gonna be on cloud nine now that she’s locked in the #1 spot. Now, the icing on the cake would be for Bey to give her and the album some quick promo through a shout out for her last show.

    • Sivroc October 5, 2016

As Solange said many years ago, “Two girls gone in different directions, striving towards the same galaxy.”

Solange Knowles – God Given Name

  5. Mariah Carey October 5, 2016

She worked so hard to get to number 1.

  6. HailLegendBeysus October 5, 2016

The Hive needs to go purchase and stream this album. Block that b****** that tried it with Bey! Solange deserves this #1!

    • Don’t Touch My Feet October 5, 2016

You need to find a job that is what you really need to do.

      • HailLegendBeysus October 5, 2016

Lmao, you need to stick to one account and stop pretending you ain’t slumming it on the floors of your friends apartment.

    • fatusankoh October 5, 2016

Yes I did I love Bey and Solang I hope she to number one

  7. ANTMO October 5, 2016

If this happens would this be the first time 2 sibling sisters have number one albums. Of course not first siblings obvi mike and janet but this is so good for her wish her last album got this much recognition it was good too

    • SoFresh October 5, 2016

      Toni & Tamar too right?

      • Danny Bey October 5, 2016

Tamar doesn’t have a number 1 album. Love & War debuted at #2 and Calling All Lovers debuted at #5

    • Tori October 5, 2016

Calling All Lovers debut at #2, right under Janet. And I believe the only other genre that has had siblings debut at no. 1 is gospel…

      • Danny Bey October 5, 2016

On the R&B/Hip Hop charts yes but on the BB200 it debuted at #5

  8. Marley October 5, 2016

I’m feeling the new songs, I wish her the best

  9. pat October 5, 2016

    I predicted this!

  11. Everyone’s A Critic October 5, 2016

Best album out for a while without having to be pop!
I’ve never instantly liked an album that didn’t have a commercial enough sound. It’s all easy to listen to and it’s nutritious! She’s actually saying something. The interludes run perfectly into the songs. Production is AMAZING, the intro to Dont Wish Me Well is soooooo moody and captivating. It jerks my soul.
Lil Wayne even came through with some sensitive stuff. This deserves number 1, grammys, BETS… everything

  12. Trainwreck October 5, 2016

Can you guy’s diversify the site ,please. There are so many urban acts out here..

    Justine Skye
    Victoria Monet
    Tinashe
    Paloma Ford
    Pia Mia
    Etc

    They all need the support!

    They all need

    • Bwash October 5, 2016

  13. Weezy Tha Goat/ Zayn is ? October 5, 2016

I’m so happy for her. Such a creative artist. Congrats Solo.

  14. iSpeakTruthNoFallacy October 5, 2016

Congrats Solange. I love seeing black excellence. Solange better watch out though and not get too successful. Beyonce will come out swingin just to let you know your sidekick place. She’d be like “I’m Batman h*e. You Robin bih”

    • RihNavy October 5, 2016

You’re such a fckn hater. Why come you couldn’t just leave it at the first sentence and instead use your statement to badge Beyoncé? Zach Campbell wouldn’t be proud of you for this

      • iSpeakTruthNoFallacy October 5, 2016

Not hatin; just being funny and honest. And you know damn well what I’m saying is the truth…Just ask Kelly Rowland #Facts

  15. AmbeRussell October 5, 2016

Smart move to release 2 music videos after the album release; adds to the album’s streams which in turn adds to the album sales.

  16. Ciah’s Turtle October 5, 2016

I hope so !! She deserves it

  17. Navy Captain October 5, 2016

I’ve never been a Beyoncé fan but I am so happy for Solange. After all the years of living in her sister’s shadow she might finally get the recognition she deserves.

    • RihYonce October 5, 2016

What does Beyoncé have to do with this ? ✋??

  18. RihYonce October 5, 2016

I hope Solo gets that number one she deserves it ! She is true artist & this album is instantly a classic ! Music like this should be topping the charts

  19. Black power October 5, 2016

See I knew it was only a matter of time before Bey purchased a hefty amount of albums to help her sister out… Kiiiii congrats tho Solange #NeverTrustAKnowles

    • Did Something Change? October 5, 2016

The predicted sales didn’t even increase yet. She’s still on course to do 47 – 51k. I don’t trust YOU and your assuming ass.

  20. Orangeyougladididntsaybanana October 5, 2016

Will this be the lowest selling number one?
Will her accomplishment get the Rihanna treatment?

    • SMH October 5, 2016

Of course she won’t get the Rihanna treatment from this site. Rihanna is the threat to beyonce-land that won’t go away.

      • BEY>RIH October 5, 2016

Frihanna is not a threat to Beyoncé. Not with those album sales…

      • SMH October 5, 2016

The fact that you responded so quickly says otherwise.

  21. LOL October 5, 2016

LMAO YET SHE’S STILL PUSHING FLOP NUMBERS AND YOU BRAINDEAD BUGS ARE CELEBRATING LMAO. WHAT’S GONNA HAPPEN WHEN SHE FREE FALLS THE FOLLOWING WEEK LIKE KOOLAID’S SINGLES? LMAO

  22. Theman October 5, 2016

As was stated before, if she had a physical release, she probably would have sold about 30k more in terms of sales. She would have definitely gone to number one..

  23. Coolness October 5, 2016

Congrats GIRL! She’s put out one of the best albums this year.

  24. Remey October 5, 2016

Lord have mercy. If this goes to number #1… First of all, with this only being 50,000, she’s only getting a number 1 because no one else has released music this pass week. Smh

  25. Melanin God October 5, 2016

I’m So Proud Of Solange the growth has been immense True Ep was the catalyst to this the spark she needed to evolve. The way she rolled it out was clever to so subtle yet it evoked the masses interest. The album is masterfully crafted the production, the vocals, the lyrics, the ways it’s weaved together by Master P and he’s dropping knowledge. I love how she dropped the 2 aesthetically driven videos the looks she brought the melanin the hair everything the choreo blessed my soul. She has delivered one of the best body of work hands down this year no argument okay b/c I have lemonade! I just need her to do some promo these last few days hit up Wendy messy ass hit up Ellen universally pleasing ass hit up Fallon hit up James Cohan? I need her on the breakfast club, sway in the morning, and hot 97 even make a stop at MTVs wanderland I just want her to prosper I want her to snatch the #1 snatch some Grammys snatch these album sales she deserves it. I’m just so proud of the Knowles sisters they have the highest critically scored albums of 2016 I feel so proud of them. #melaningod #blackgirlmagic
