Bruno Mars brought down the house on Saturday night’s episode of ‘SNL.’

Delivering the debut televised showing of his latest hit single ’24K Magic,’ the leading tune from his forthcoming album of the same name, the singer/songwriter electrified the audience with a rousing rendition of the tune before jumping into a live performance of another new tune – ‘Chunky.’

See Mars go all the way in below:

He did that!

    The Weeknd is better.

      Lies

i agree, he’s not the best singer but his level of artistry, quality and maturity places him well above Bruno imo.

      The weekend better not…

    they were paid to care

It’s official… I’m copping this album. Oddly enough I was just listening to Baby Be Mine from MJ’s Thriller album before I watched. Chunky is a bop and needs to be on iTunes right quick!

Bruno is a true performer with a voice to come with it! Love both songs. Only problem is his groupies. I find them annoying. Bruno when did you join a group? I thought you were a solo artist. I hope these groupies aren’t going to be included in every performance and song for this album.

You mean backup singers? Which almost every pop artist makes use of?

      • Ughhhh October 16, 2016

Every pop artist needs 7 backup singers? Mmmk.

  5. Orlando October 16, 2016

He’s a good singer but his music is corny and just don’t get his appeal. His music sounds like something white dads listen to.

He slayed. I will be supporting him and Abel when their albums drop.

This song is absolutely horrendous as given by its terrible streaming updates and “average” i-tunes performance (though it’s radio updates [payola] are humongous).

    .

This is easily his worst lead single ever and one of the worst he’s ever released.

You could do so much better, Bruno.

    • JOHNVIDAL October 16, 2016

Not horrendous but I agree that it is a little bit disappointing coming from such a true entertainer-singer-songwriter 🙂 🙂 🙂 I´m also surprised that it stayed less time at itunes #1 than Perfect Illusion knwing how he is coming from the huge Upfunk Town.

Yassss, finally some good music. I am so sick of the EDM s*** the younger kids like today. This is some soulful, steppin music and it gives me life. I will def buy this album if its all songs like these two. 24K is a monster hit, and Chunky is a bop. Come Through Bruno, I see you.

  9. King October 16, 2016

    I agree with Janet

This is the definition of a great artist. Bruno mars has a great eye for music. I’m definitely copping this album. The way he incorporated the 70’s & 80’s music into todays music is amazing. Great job Bruno. I would love to work in his circle and see how his artistry is brought to life!

Two amazing performances. People need to stop hating!

    • JOHNVIDAL October 16, 2016

People love hating. Especially on great talents once they become “too big”.

  12. JOHNVIDAL October 16, 2016

He´s such a great performer. As he always proves (not to mention I think his Superbowl performance is my favorite ever probably). However, musically this song is a little bit underwhelming. He had been serving fire with his first two albums, and then the huge Upfunk Town too. But this lead single sounds like nothing new for the first time ever when it comes to music by Bruno (Locked out of Heaven was everything). Looks like to my surprise many people think the same since he is not slaying itunes as I thought he would at this sweet point of his career.

    In love with Chunky.

NO ONE is safe from flopping these days. The GP doesn’t care WHO you are. You must BRING it musically and no half-ass. Bruno missed the mark with this one.

    • JOHNVIDAL October 16, 2016

It´s not only that. The “GP” can also bring you down even if you keep releasing great material. There´s much more into this than just “BRINGING IT”. It´s momentum too, and promo, and smoke and mirrors… it´s an industry. Personally I support the real talents regardless of what the GP does and what the powers that be decide to do with the artists. But I totally get your pojnt and you´re right.

Bruno is a true talent. I’m liking this song. It sounds like it’s lifted from 1982.
