If iTunes receipts are anything to judge by, Britney Spears and Tinashe fans are apparently snoozing on the divas’ duet, ‘Slumber Party.’
The tune – the latest lifted from Spears ill-fated 9th opus ‘Glory’ – saw its buzz reach a feverish pitch when its sexy, ‘Eyes Wide Shut’-inspired accompanying music video was unveiled. That buzz, thanks to the AMAs and more, has quickly cooled and quelled after just three days.

‘Slumber Party’ peaked at #31 on the digital charts BEFORE its music video was released. With such a promising response given its limited promotion, it’s obvious Spears and co. figured a remix, well-crafted music video, and an increase in buzz around the tune should help it out.
Sadly, they couldn’t have been more wrong.
Since its official Tinashe-assisted release on Friday at 12am PT, ‘Party’ managed to dance its way to a back to a post-video peak of #32 on iTunes charts. Lost in the fray of Bruno Mars’ new release ’24K Magic’ and the American Music Awards, as of time reported the tune sits at:
If there is any hope for the song on next week’s refreshed Hot 100, it certainly will come from the streaming front. Amassing over 5 million spins within its first 24-hours, a recent check sees it hovering right above the 15 million plays mark on Youtube.
