Today marks the global release of Emeli Sande‘s long-awaited sophomore album ‘Long Live The Angels.’
Inescapable following the premiere of 2012’s ‘Our Version Of Events,’ the 28-year-old shocked many when she voluntarily traded her omnipresence for silence.
Indeed, the Scot describes 2014 onwards as a period of deep reflection; a window in which she would dissect life, love, fame, and pain. And a time during which she toyed with the idea of not “coming back” at all.
Thankfully for her legion of loyal listeners, Sande has returned to the music sphere and has done so in triumphant form.
‘Long Live The Angels’ is rich, soulful, and full bodied. It advances the qualitative, while mass appealing narrative she started with its predecessor.
