How he described it?
The production feels aggressive but still sexy. The Smiths, Bad Brains, Talking Heads, Prince, and DeBarge play roles. We wrote it all in Los Angeles. I think it’ll be the best-sounding album I’ve ever done. It’s hard to label the sound because, when I first came out, nobody would label it R&B. I just want to keep pushing the envelope without it feeling forced.

Chile, The Weeknd haters are just gonna have to pick their faces up off the floor like they are about to see Chateau Sheree for the first time lol…True Colors (beautiful), Die For You and Sidewalks are some of my early favorites…King Abel was scheduled to collaborate with Prince at Paisley Park before he died…if that doesn’t show that The Weeknd has his own lane, I don’t know what will! Starboy oozes with The Weeknd’s style – this isn’t pastiche chile…Justin Timberlake is singing background vocals on Rockin – YES, you heard right! Daft Punk works with close to no one, yet King Abel gets TWO SONGS…this is just some of the reasons that King Abel is on another level! #STARBOY
