The Numbers Are In! Bruno Mars’ ’24k Magic’ Album Sold…

Published: Friday 25th Nov 2016 by Sam

Bruno Mars has been marvelling the masses with his third album ’24k Magic.’

Unleashed last week, the set has been bolstered by the popularity of its title track and a slew of major promotional spots.

The latter has proven especially effective, as the LP’s sales forecast rose following his show-stopping performance at the AMAs.

With the week’s numbers tallied in total, where did Mars land?

Find out below…

Per Hits Daily Double, the set did indeed best initial predictions.

Its final sales are…

226,413 (Sales Plus Streaming)
196,000 (Pure Sales

The figures serve as the singer’s highest first week numbers to date. Both from a pure sales and SPS standpoint.

And while he was denied the #1 spot by Metallica (whose new release hit 305k), there’s still several weeks left in the year to snatch it. After all, Mars’ preceding LP – ‘Unorthodox Jukebox’ – opened at #2 only to hit the top shortly after.

We sure hope it’s a case of history repeating itself because ’24k Magic’ is wholly deserving.

That’s cute still for him! That album is nothing to play with…The best album I’ve heard in a looong time hands down!!!

His highest first week numbers?? The hype is strong. I was thinking he was selling 500k. He dont even sell more than Nicki albums. Thats sad

    • Lea November 26, 2016

The powers behind this industry are too strong, lol! This 9 track album is trash! The whole album with the exception of maybe three out of the 9 songs sound just like 24k, so bye with all that noise!

      • 2bad2bme November 26, 2016

You must come from the era where children don’t know much about REAL music and live production so I won’t fault you!

    The Weeknd ended him

    He’s still a zaddy though

    • Max November 25, 2016

Yeah he ended him even though Bruno is the one selling one million tour tickets in one day??

      • RihUp November 25, 2016

? How can anyone stan for Selena Gomez ?

    • 2bad2bme November 25, 2016

      Selena ended herself!

      • Molly #Stargirl November 25, 2016

Selena had more top 10 hits than Beyonce this year.

      • BEY>RIH November 26, 2016

How many top 10 hits does Selena have in total? Cause I can guarantee you she doesn’t have more than Bey. Has her album crossed Lemonade’s first week sales yet?

    • msbeautynglam November 25, 2016

Let’s get the facts obviously the weeknd is the flavour of the year and his album and singles will sell more but Bruno mars will beat him in touring and if you know anything about singers is that the touring is where the real money is e.g. madonna has 2 flop albums but has 2
      high grossing tours

    • Lea November 26, 2016

      Hell, the Weeknd trash too!

  3. @ASAPicon November 25, 2016

How or what made them think sales would be close to 100k at first. Strange. Great numbers in today’s climate but not good for somebody who has had such a prolific career and public appearances over the years. I wonder what the album would have done if he latched another massive hit like “UpTown Funk!” though? That’s an interesting thought. I haven’t looked into his album sales but it seems more like Bruno Mars is the male Katy Perry/Rihanna. Their albums do well but not amazing and do hit platinum over time, but their bread and butter isn’t albums but more so singles that become hits and touring revenue obviously.

FALSE. Bruno’s last album did over 6M WW.

      • Max November 25, 2016

His debut and sophomore did over 6 Mill and was considered best selling albums WW this decade

I’m so proud of my baby!!!!

  7. Weezy Tha Goat/ Zayn is ? November 25, 2016

I’m happy for both The Weeknd and Bruno Mars. These are two minority men out here selling out arenas and doing it big in the charts.

  8. ???????Chile, take this “Itty Bitty Piggy” to the market and make sure you hold her hand while crossing the street!??????? November 25, 2016

Just looking at the track list and seeing the word “Perm” has me dying. Good job for him, though.

  9. Starxavi November 25, 2016

Congrats to him! He’s a slow burn seller. He will definitely hit platinum and Metallica will probably only be number one this week. Bruno knows how to milk an album campaign and he doesn’t rush to the next single if one doesn’t seem to be doing well. He let’s it marinate in people’s minds til more and more people like/love it.

  10. Metzo November 25, 2016

Not bad.. I’m just so into Abel rn. He’s slaying. Starboy has grown on me

  12. Cough Cough November 25, 2016

The most talented young man (30 and under crew) out right now.

    • MusicLife November 26, 2016

      Because Bruno is liek 31.

  13. Trumpland November 25, 2016

Why this half breed not wearing socks? Most talented man out?? Nobody cares about bruno and his stinky feet.

  14. King B November 26, 2016

He did very well. He sold 50k in the UK. That’s more than Selena Gomez, Rihanna, Demi Lovato and Gaga combined, probably include Britney as well.

    • Career Ender November 26, 2016

Lol bro!! I live for your shade! !

  15. IG:code_rex2.0 November 26, 2016

These are strong numbers . He did good. And the album is lit

  16. JD November 26, 2016

    His feet are s***.

  17. Essence_of_sean November 26, 2016

Bruno’s album is far from trash. Those 9 songs are life dummy

    Good for him

  19. JOHNVIDAL November 26, 2016

    Oh wow congrats to him.
Very very VERY similar sales to Gaga´s. With the difference that Bruno was coming from a sweeter moment in his career commercially wise, but still, he had been receiving a little bit of backlash durings the last few weeks. Both have proved real talent can prevail.
