Can we please give a round of (rapturous) applause to the producers of the revived VH1 Divas.
Because it seems the show’s four-year hiatus has seen organisers right the plethora of wrongs that plagued the spectacle in more recent times.
Indeed, from the onset, there appears to be a drive to re-authenticate the platform.
Case in point with the announcement of Mariah Carey as first performer and the subsequent revelation of Patti LaBelle‘s involvement.
This week brought with it news that Teyana Taylor will be taking to the stage come December 5th.
And now, it’s been revealed that Chaka Khan will too.

The ‘I’m Every Woman’ belter’s participation marks her fourth appearance on the franchise, after previous performances on the 1999, 2003, and 2011 editions.
Speaking in a statement, Khan said:
“I am absolutely thrilled to be involved with another VH1 Divas event. My past experiences have been so enjoyable, and I’m sure this year’s festive flair will make the evening particularly special.”
Themed around Christmas, the playfully titled ‘VH1 Divas: Unsilent Night’ airs Dec 5th at 9pm ET on VH1.

This show is for really good singing divas, not hollowing horses wearing ridiculous bundles and does stripper moves as choreography all the time. That means no Beyonce.
So out of all the singers she named including mediocre ones like Frihanna and Ariana, you shade Bey and claim she’s not a good singing diva…? Bítch if she came to that show she would show up and show out!!!

Ummm…what about Toni Braxton? After all of these Divas shows, she has yet to be honored, only presented. She literally has more class and talent than most of these ladies. Let’s get it together, Vh1!
While Teyana Taylor might be the odd ball in this lineup for the most part Vh1 is on the right path with this particular line up. Because all the other women on this lineup so far have worked for their status as divas. Also they have the talent and receipts to match. But big up to Teyana for having an amazing year and being able to grace the stage with these legendary, iconic, talented women.
Beyonce is good, but these women are in another league..

Actually, she wouldn’t. There are many recent clips of Mariah sounding way better than Beyonce. The only thing that she blows away are her delusional stans. She’s not exciting until she starts shaking. While she’s a good singer, it’s nothing special. Her music nor voice is the sole reason for her being a major draw.

Hmm… facts disagree with you. She can sing. Some people even know it 🙂 But the world doesn´t think of Beyonce when asked for a monumental voice. Her career is based on upbeat hits. She is not where she is because of ONLY HER VOICE. If that where the case most of her hits would ahve been ballads. She hasn´t even go there. She doesn´t have that type of voice. It´s not even debatable. She´s a different type of artist, not one that people remember for memorable vocal showings. Just no.

Brandy was actually on the Vh1 Live in 99 and that was the best show along with Whitney, Tina,Faith Hill and more.
Again, nobody but her two stans cares about that bitter flop.
