Extending her overall lead amongst her contemporary competitors, Brain’s boost gives the singer her 40th top 20 entry into the Billboard Hot 100 – a historic accomplishment only 5 other acts can boast. Notice all the singles from Anti are not only hits, but urban to R&B songs as well? Anyway, the song is just great, this girl ‘s voice matches very genre. She make it look so easy, and every era, she’s just HER. No gimmicks, no PR BS, just a new hair do and outfit, but she’s still Rihanna.
As a Rihanna fan I can honestly say she can sell any genre. She doesn’t try to do a lot of runs and be all R&B or too pop. She sticks with her signature sound and voice. She doesn’t give too much in her songs or too little. She stays in her comfort zone and I like that about her. I also like that she sings live. She doesn’t always sound the best but she sings live and she loves what she do. There is a song for every occasion as far as my life goes. Guess I’m just loving this ANTI album. My favorite next to Rated R.
Rated r and anti have been the eras that saw her start something new for herself. The rest of her albums were pop bangers. I’m eager to hear what’s next from her. I honestly thought anti was about to be a banger but in hindsight it’s good that she went against the grain.
